In my research, I read where these were legendary studio headphones. However, I need them for videos in a noisy atmosphere like interviewing people at noisy high school reunions, wedding receptions, etc., and need to block out the extraneous noise. So it was really my mistake that these were the incorrect headphones for my application. I was just too dumb to know I needed a noise cancellation headphone. Thanks to the B&H technical audio guru, he switched me over to Audio-Technica ATH-ANC7b-QuietPoint Active Noise-Cancelling Cclosed-Back Headphones for $95approximately only $15 more. Thus as soon as I get those late this week, I'll be returning the Sony MDR-7506 headphone that may be great in the studio, but was just not the right application for me. Wish I'd read someone else writing this information about a year ago. The lack of this knowledge cost me dearly in doing some jobs where I wasn't properly hearing the audio, or lack of audio, coming into the camcorder on another headphone that was even worse. Education is always a painful, trial and error, baptism by fire experience. I've gotten burned by lack of this knowledge so hope this review will save others my painful experience and embarrassment. Thank goodness for B&H personnel that can help us if we just ask them. ... More
