I bought this mic to use on my Canon 70D and I tested it- there is still a lot of background noise which is why I got an external mic.

Give this all the quick read the internet has to offer FIRST! I was pretty excited earlier knowing what brand i was buying into but all that was quickly dashed. It's quite unfair how this doesn't state what and what it works with. Simply inefficient.

Ho you want a microphone ? This one is not. It needs to be powered by a USB / dictaphone device ONLY.You have a camera ? It will work. But not all of them. You have a phone (iPhone, Galaxy Note etc...) ? It won't work. You have a $ M-Audio Profire 2626 with Phantom power 48V in FireWire ? Won't work either.Enjoy your plastic toy, perfect for a costume fo Halloween but that is about it.
