I'm brand new to Sony, i do photography not video production, and i've been a Nikon user and fan for the most part of my 12 years in this field. I still love my Nikons. I own the Legendary D850 (my favorite body ever) I also own the Z7II and Z6, and i used some Canons and Fujis for a while until i recently sold the X-T4 i had. I loved the body and controls of the Fuji, but disliked the low light performance and lower resolution of the DX sensor compared to the 40+MPs on the Nikons and now Sony i own. I'm getting used to Sony now, and by no means i intend to replace or switch to Sony exclusively, i will continue to use and love my Nikons, but this Sony does a good job to. It has excellent ISO performance and has nice features that are impressive for a 3+ year old body with a recent slight improvement on the LCD and USB C port. It is true that Sony could improve a few things on these camenras Menu systems, and it would also be great if the would replace the focus position indicator from almost invisible gray, to green, red or white. The battery life is very good also. I'm happy with my new Sony camera, i have a learning curve to overcome now, but it takes time and patience, at least i'm not starting from scratch. I bought this camera now that is on sale with $500 off, but in all honesty i wouldn't pay more for this body if it wasn't on sale. Perhaps Sony could make this pricing a permanent thing. Overall, i recomend this Sony camera as a backup. The autofocus is very good, but it's not way much better than the Nikon's Z II cameras. Nikon has better ergonomics and a lot easier way to tweak and set up the camera to make it a lot faster to change some settings. Like i said, this Sony is more like a Backup for me. But i'm happy with it overall. ... More

I'm new to photography, and let me start by thanking a few friends for exposing me to B&H. B&H is so wonderful from all of the online help to a human actually answering the phone, thank you. I've always been interested in photography but was a little intimidated and nervous to make an investment in it. So glad I did!! I can't put down the camera it's with me wherever I go and it's really opened up a whole new creative side I didn't even know was there. This bundle I thought was a little pricey however I quickly realized how much value is really there. I did a lot of research and knew the camera body I wanted but was unsure of which lens. A friend I look up to as being an accomplished photographer recommended this one as a all around lens and it has not disappointed. The bag is very versatile has lots of storage and has nice internal dividers you can move around to fit your specific needs. And of course you need a SD card and this has performed nicely so far. Overall I'm very happy with this purchase and feel like I have plenty of room to grow with this setup and would recommend to any newcomer or even an experienced photographer. ... More

The recent $500 off sale on this camera kit, along with the improvements Sony made to the the previous A7R3 camera was the deal closer for me. For my needs, 42 mp is plenty, and I appreciate the improvements made to the EVF and rear LCD panel, as well as the higher capacity battery. Still image performance is amazing. Loads of detail and clarity with top notch Sony full frame lenses. Camera is well made, solid as a rock and comfortable to hold. OK, Sony's menus are not the most intuitive, but I have used other Sony cameras and am use to the confused organization. A careful guided tour through the various blogs from experienced A7R3 users, helped me utilize the many custom options available to set up the camera for my needs and thus avoid constant strolls through the menus. I do not record video frequently so I can't speak personally to the cameras video performance, but the specs certainly appear more than competitive. Most happy with my purchase, and with B&H's service. ... More

I became the photographer for the 55KRC Listener Lunches in Cincinnati. On a whim, I purchased this camera at B & H in August of 2019. I take pictures of people enjoying lunch and talking and socializing over drinks and lunch in rather dark bar/restaurants. I don't use flash, I use eye auto-focus and with the 5 axis sensor stability turned on, I take pictures at shutter speeds as low as 1/5 second sometimes and the pictures come out almost pin sharp. When I take low light pictures at 1/30th to 1/60th second, they are pin sharp. I use an ISO sensitivity of 8000 and when I publish them on Facebook, there is no grain at all. You can see my handy work on Facebook just by searching 55KRC Listener Lunch. The pictures a so good that everybody gushes over them. I have owned this camera for 2 years now and it has given me so much pleasure. I found learning curve for this camera to be a little steep but then I hadn't owned such a sophisticated camera before. ... More

Shocking picture quality, I've always said I will never sell my camera even if I upgrade. Having shot over 225,000 pictures so far, it's held up well as my travel camera. My issues with the camera has been the rubber exterior stripping. The pieces have come loose from the mounting holes, and seems impossible to get them back in. The other issue is the body size, it's smaller then ones hand leaving your pinky finger dangling at the bottom of the camera. Perhaps petty but it would add comfort if the sizing was correct. Noting the A7R4 has addressed this problem. My favorite feature is the eye continuous focus. Impressive technology and a guarantee for tack sharp shots every time. ... More

Having been on the A7RII for a while I wanted to upgrade to get some better autofocus and video capabilities. I had been looking at the original A7RIII however I just happen to stumble across the 2021 version the A7RIIIA. Let me tell you if you don't already have the RIII or are looking to get into Sony SPEND THE EXTRA MONEY and get the A7RIIIA. The LCD alone was worth the extra money! Not to mention the other 2 small improvement to an already amazing camera. Couple the camera with the Zeiss 55mm 1.8 or Sigma Art lens (which I just bought) and your set forever. The screen makes working just an absolute joy as you see exactly what you will get in seemly 8K quality the screen is so sharp! An DEFINITE step up front the A7RII and something I look forward to using everyday. ... More

If I buy another camera, I will never sell my A7R3! In addition to all the optimal features, it's the Bionz processor that makes all your pics the envy, stunning quality. The eye focus makes getting crisp picture quality a breeze. The only negative thing I can say about this camera is the body size. I think Sony was so focused on making the most compact camera, they neglected to consider the comfort. Holding the camera, the pinky finger does not have room on the camera body. Not a real objection, but do appreciate the corrected feature on the A7R4 model. Highly recommend. ... More

I recently bought this camera and it is truly remarkable the amount of detail this camera can capture. Although being just about 3-4 years old at this point, this camera is still a very good contender with other mirrorless cameras nowadays. This camera does everything I need it do plus more and it does this exceptionally. I switched from canon DSLR to Sony and it can be a little daunting at first especially with their menu system. It took me a long while to go through it all and set everything up just they way I wanted it but once I did, I have never really needed to use the bad menu system again. Overall, love this camera. I think it was the right choice for me. ... More

In order to submit this photo I cropped out over 75 PERCENT of the photo. The photo is much nicer than what you see. I also used a SIGMA 40mm 1.4 DG HSM lens to capture the photo. Photo taken @ 9:54 P.M. @ ISO 100; 0 EV; @ f 1.4 and a 25 second exposure on a carbon fiber tripod.

I'm getting good autofocus for birds in flight, and the combination of the full frame sensor and 45mp means that when I have to crop a shot of a distant subject significantly, I'm still getting very good detail. It took me a while to learn the menus, but it's extremely capable -- and I like the fact that I have good old-fashioned dials accessible for aperture, shutter speed, or compensation on the fly (and for other things, I suppose, if I customize). Although I pack a spare, I just haven' needed it -- well over 1k images on a single fully charged battery. ... More

I use my full frame camera for my hobby and have never had an issue. The improved LCD display on the new A7RIIIA is fantastic too. I have used them only with top notch primes. I use the A6600 with a macro for my work doing small product photography and it is my second APS-C sony camera and it gets very heavy daily use. Never had an issue there either. ... More

I upgraded my Nikon cameras to this mirrorless Sony. I am very pleased with the pictures I have taken so far. I am looking at a few other lenses to add to this package as I like a variety for different purposes. The photos I have taken are very clear. I can't wait until the next day off to go test it out more. B&H was super easy to order from, shipped fast and everything was packaged great. I will be looking at B&H for more lenses for this in teh near future.

I have been shooting the Sony A7 III and absolutely love it but still need higher resolution that the Sony A7R IIIa gives. This camera certainly delivers! It produces crisp photos that exceeds most commercial requirements. The body is comfortable in the hand, with an improved back view. Low light performance is excellent delivering low noise at higher ISO's. Receiving the extra battery, bag and memory card is a well thought out accessory kit. Great job!

I've been looking at getting into the alpha series from Sony for some time, but kept putting it off until I found myself in a bit of a pickle and needing the camera ASAP. I took a gamble with standard shipping and ended up receiving the package a day early (shipping from NY to IN) with plenty of time to learn the camera before using it on a shoot. Kudos to the team at B&H!

Coming from a slower DSLR I have to say I am hooked! Mirrorless really takes full advantage of digital photography. The reaction speed is amazing, auto focus has been very reliable and eye recognition a life saver! I am very impressed at the functionality and customization capabilities of this camera. Sony I am back! I will still miss my Pentax though - it is a great camera.

This is an excellent camera with a better screen compared to the traditional Sony ones. The resolution of the screen is much better. And the sensor is more than enough for my needs. Also, the AF is also very fast. One of the most annoying thing is that it cannot support the preview in Mac. Hopefully, it can be resolved soon. But, yeah, using Adobe software is fine, which will not cause too much trouble for me. I really like the high resolution images captured from this camera.

The new screen is much better than the older version. The sensor is more than enough for my needs. One thing to note is that the newest MacOS will recognize the A7RM3 raw image but not from A7RM3A, in the exif data you will see this camera is listed as A7RM3 and is currently unsupported in Mac preview, it's a pain since there is no preview on the image.

I was excited to get a SONY camera, then I realized that the a7r3 was 3 years old when I purchased it. I guess I will buy a flash and keep trying. I'm not sure I can recommend this camera.
