This camera was a surprise gift from my husband. It is now a proud big sister to my a7ii. This checks all the boxes and only enhances my Sony loyalty. With only a miniscule deduction for a complicated menu system (but I'm a big girl and learn fast, so no biggie) I don't hesitate to give it 5 big, fat stars.

I upgraded from the a7RII (still own) and I absolutely love this camera. I shoot 50% video and 50% photo and this camera performs very well in many situations and conditions. Excited to see where Sony goes from here!

Image quality is everything that I had hoped for. Resolution and broad dynamic range are stunning. Fit and finish are pleasing to the eye and hand. The menu system is a bit difficult to master but usable. There is no other camera that I would rather be using as an advanced amateur.

I'm an avid storm chaser of over 15 years and I take photos in a fast paced environment and hazardous environment as well. This camera meets and exceeds all my expectations I had for it coming from the Nikon D610. I've had the A7R3 for over a year now and its the best camera I've ever owned. The large file sizes allow you to crop in quite a bit and still end up with a usable image too.

Who can't love 42 megapixels?! Set to "AUTO" it is amazing. I can't bother with a 650-page user manual. The manual however is on my computer. Using it for now with my old Leica-M lenses with good results.

I've only been able to go shooting a few times, but so far am loving some of the unique features, including on the manual setting allowing the ISO to be automatic while still controlling the aperture and shutter speed, as well as the touch for focus ability on the screen. I have not gotten used to the manual focus feature where it zooms in on your area in focus. I find it difficult to use the manual zoom in this way for shooting sports, but I think with practice I will appreciate this feature.

Love the A7R III. I take photos as a hobby. So fsr, the camera has lived up to my expectations. Battery life is a whole lot better than the A7R II. I can take picture the whole day without having to worry about running out of juice. In my opinion, eye AF is a lot quicker than the previous model.

The camera is incredible. I especially like all of the flexible customizable buttons and memories, the bright electronic finder and dual memory slots. The auto focus is fast, reliable and accurate. The camera body is a perfect size and weight for travel with and a wide assortment of lenses to satisfy all of my requirements.

After shooting film for many years (Leica, Nikon) and then moving to digital with the Sony a6500 and its Zeiss lenses, I took the plunge and bought the Sony A7Riii. Fantastic camera. It handles very comfortably, has countless options (which I am still learning), and superb performance. Great battery life (much better than the A6500). Only complaint is a surprisingly loud shutter sound, but there is always the Silent option. Love it.

I switched from Pentax to Sony and am so happy I did. This camera is really amazing. So far, no negatives after a week in Vegas and a couple of hikes. Ill try to update this if I find something I don't like.

The camera preforms better then most said it would. So the expatiations of what I could do have been exceeded. The one thing that I did not realize is that for this camera to get the sharpness I was expecting you need to have the G Master series lenses. Other then that. I will be buying another one of these soon!

EXCELLENT! As this body has met, even exceeded, my expectations, I will now sell my entire Nikon inventory and concentrate on Sony. The A7R-III replaces my D810 and joins my Sony video cameras with E-mount lenses, of which I have many primes. I will keep just one A7S-II as a backup for low light situations.

Recieved my a7Riii a couple weeks ago and am impressed at how this camera performs. Upgraded from the a7Rii was a geat choice! The photos that this camera produces is awesome with no regrets of the upgrade. Loving this camera! Great for landscapes! Still prefer my Fuji system for street and portraits, but both cameras compliment each other...so its perfect set up!

The A7r III is fantastic. I upgraded from my Sony a6000 and man, what a world of difference! So crisp, more range, better images. The camera allows you to bump up your ISO without completely blowing out your image with noise. The extra batter, the extra memory card, and the bag made this purchase THAT much better!

Been ordering on line with B&H for many years. Almost all of my photographic tools are purchased on-line from B&H. A fellow professional photographer told me about his track record with B&H and I tried the process. It is very quick, more than competitive and makes a lot of sense. Without B&H having excellent return policies the whole thing would not work. If you are not purchasing your equipment on-line from B&H you should give it a try. You wont be disappointed.

A7r 3 is the first digital camera that I have owned and I absolutely love how it performs! It is very easy to use and the pictures I have taken with it so far I have exceeded my expectations. The last real camera had other than a cell phone camera pause a Nikon n70 and I can get so much more out of this camera by being able to change the iso to whatever I need it to be versus having to use what the film is for an entire roll.

Using it in and out of the studio for six months without complaint. IQ is excellent as expected. AF functionality is much better than my A7RII. And as I add more native lenses, I am getting a faster AF lock then before. However, as with the A7RII, DMF is my preferred focusing mode. Just started using Capture One Pro instead of Lightroom for in studio work and my life is so much better now.

I bought this to replace my medium format digital that was ten years old. This is not a camera. This is the ultimate digital image making tool. It does so much more than I'll ever ask of it. At first the menus were daunting but I watched two YouTube videos that walked you thru them and I was up and running in a day. Looking forward to buying the next model and more lenses.

After years as a Canon shooter (and significant research), I decided to purchase the A7R3. The camera was easy to set up, and I did not find the menu system to be a problem. After spending time in the field, I am extremely pleased with ease of use and the image quality. Based upon several weeks experience, I am happy I made the decision to make to change.
