This little camera has blown my socks off. The image quality, performance, everything... I don't know what else to say. Coming from the A6500 I wasn't expecting the performance to be quite on par on this full frame, but wow was I wrong. The a6500 was a killer little camera but this A7R3 smokes the crop sensor body in the performance department. Obviously low light performance and sheer resolution is a massive upgrade. I'd love to get a second body!

Getting this camera for first Mirrorless SLR was the right thing thing to do. The battery stayed charged for a 3 weeks and I taken hundreds of pictures. I never realized that all Sony Cameras were so different with the Menu System, each Sony of I have is about the same except this one, however, it is my first a7. I am sorry it does not have a Pan system like the a7RII, but the battery life on the a7RIII is well worth it. As for the 28-70mm lens it is a good starter lens, especially with the APS-C/Super 35mm mode & the Zoom mode added to it. That being said I would suggest getting 24-240mm lens, if you can afford it with any sports or wildlife pictures, so put it on your wish list. Over all it is a very good camera for taking 35mm size pictures and it I had the money I do recommend it. ... More

Coming from a Canon 5D Mark 3, the weight and size of the RIII is much welcomed. However the button layout and menu system seems a step behind. I can't whip out the camera adjust the exposure in a second and start shooting. It's not slow but the wheel is too small and hard to scroll. Also the viewfinder and monitor seems to bright so I have them at -1. Otherwise they get a stop darker on the screen. For video and everything else, I LOVE the camera. One thing I just noticed and not sure if its just me is that at ISO 640, I was getting a kind of smooth grain that still doesn't seem right when you compared it to Canon 5D 3 ISO 640. I have to look into it but its worth noting. ... More

Coming from the very capable A6300 and A6000, this camera is a huge step up. Image quality is amazing. Better than I had anticipated! Feels well-built. Love the 2 card slots. Focus is responsive. Image quality is amazing (yes I already said that) - but that's what you get this camera for - details!

I upgraded from A7r2 to the A7r3 and all I can say is it's a major improvement. The pixel shifting is like getting a 2 1/4 for studio work. Focusing, battery ,to memory slots, build quality, touch focus points on lcd, eye focus improvements and 10 frames a second are just a few of features that are amazing. Highly recommended.

Upgraded from Canon 70d to the a7Riii and was slightly discouraged initially due to the learning curve. Only took me a day to appreciate the Sony. I love this camera!!!

I have shot with this camera for one week. Most were landscape shot and I was extremely pleased. I was. a Canon shooter for 40 plus years and wanted a lighter setup with great results. My first Sony was the A9 and it blew me away with the results. My whole kit is both Sonys and Sony lenses. No regrets.

I purchased this camera as an upgrade to my a6300. The difference is like night & day. Colors are much better, dynamic range is much better. I no longer spend a lot of time in post trying to get detail out of the shadows and adding detail to the highlights. Low light AF is much better. Noise control is much better. AF acquisition is very fast. I am still learning what settings are best for my style of shooting, so I am hoping that things will even get better from here.

I am an amateur photographer. I have used A7 for more than 3 years and really liked its weight, functionality, and photo qualities. However, it reaches to a point that the new features on new a7 series can be a booster for my shooting, especially in portraits and landscapes. The faster focusing time, eye detection,5-axis stabilization, and so on; these features just give me more possibilities and stronger confidences when shooting a photo. It feels slightly heavier but more solid comparing to 1st gen a7. Function menu and the layout are a little bit different. I am still getting used to the new camera. But so far, I am very pleased about a7r3 and its capabilities. ... More

16 years of Nikon, some good, mostly bad from D70 to D4s and in between. I moved to Sony in Jan 2017, with the 7rii and the 6500. I was less than impressed with the 7rii, and as soon as the A9 came out quickly dumped the 7rii, very happy with the A9. Still missing a great studio body with high resolution coupled with the much improved focusing of the A9, I had to at least try the 7riii. It's MUCH improved over the 7rii with on par focusing, better ergonomics, and build quality in the body. It's not a tank. It's not what Canon or Nikon are building in their bohemoth bodies, and it's not marketed as such. But I'll be able to build on the Sony system as they've made a serious commitment to content creation for both stills, and video. I'm anxious to set up the 7riii for video tweaking the picture profiles for an out of camera "no grade" profile. ... More

10 FPS insures a few great still frames. Hybrid autofocus is fast and sharp. New battery last all day. Rear touchscreen monitor is nice and bright. 4K 30PFS 100Mbs works well. Only thing this camera lacks is 4K 60FPS. Still waiting on ARW compatibility with Lightroom.

The Sony A7R3 take me back to my point and shoot times but with a serious HEMI under the hood ready to take on any of today's demanding photography assignment. I also purchased that incredible 24mm 1.4 GM lens which make this my ultimate every day walk around compact system. Stop reading about it and just buy it!

It was emotionally difficult to convert after using Nikon for 9 years but worth it. I needed a pro quality body that I could hand hold in low light & theA7R3 complies, even being slightly shaky at my age. It produces very clear, vivid images (raw & Jpg) even at 6400 ISO. Although6400 needs about 1/2 minute of post processing noise reduction/sharpening in Lightroom to meet my standards. Buy it.

Without a doubt this is the best Sony camera I have owned. I takes amazing pictures. The focus is fast and accurate and the resolution is great and give me lots of flexibility if I need to crop the image. I purchased the adapter so that I could continue to use my A mount lenses till I can get around to purchasing some new E mount glass. I've only used it a couple times so far but I can't wait to get out and do some serious shooting with this camera in 2021.

I usually purchase used gear to save money, but when buying a $2500 dollar camera I felt it worth it to spend a couple hundred more to buy brand new and B&H had the best price with the best reputation. My camera came as described in perfect condition and so far have had no issues. Delivery time: IMPRESSIVE!!! I ordered this camera at 5pm from B&H in New York and it was delivered to my house by 3pm the next day in Kansas City, MO with free shipping.

Everyone knows that the Sony A7r3 is an absolutely incredible camera, but it still blew me away. I have been waiting a very long time to upgrade (from a super old Sony amateur camera) and this camera blew me away. All the customization is amazing and the handling. Last night I viewed the photos for the first time on a computer and there is SO much detail. Speaking to the accessories, they're all very nice. I personally won't ever use the shoulder bag, but it's of very nice quality. The SD card and extra battery are great and have worked well so far. All of the accessories were great, especially considering they were included in the kit for no extra cost than the camera itself! ... More

I'm a retired professional from NYC now living in Mexico. I shot advertising, catalog, photojournalism, still life, everything. This kit cost me less than half of what the estimated repair was on my medium format digital. The Sony camera consistently amazes me. It's smarter and steadier than I am at age 66. Shots that other cameras would back-focus this puppy nails it and with 40 megapixels you can still count the eyelashes on a group of five! I'm very happy. It's always by my side.

Everything is incredible. It is fast, lightweight, delivers incredibly detailled photos and the autofocus is very fast! The pixel shift works great and is the best thing for landscape photography. For the video part, the 4K and 1080p120fps both are available in S35 and FF mode. The SLog3 with S.Gamut3.Cine has a huge dynamic range! Dual slot SD cards is the best things to make sure you don't miss a thing! The only thing missing is 4K60fps and internal 10bits 422 but I understand that they want to hold to those things for the A7sIII.
