I bought this to replace my A7RII. Shooting with Sony has been an experience that I can truly say has been a marvel. Great ergonomics, battery life and overall value. Can't go wrong here.

my first use of the camera was for a difficult outdoor Prom photo setting. the camera worked perfectly. I auto eye tracking option worked perfectly. So far I am very happy with my upgrade from the A77 ii to the a7r iii.

Didn't think I needed to upgrade my A7R II but after borrowing a friends III for a couple of days I quickly become spoiled by the new model. Very real improvements across the board. Well done Sony!

Sony finally listened to us, Camera is nothing short of AWESOME. Still needs articulating live vie screen and still needs an intuitive menu upgrade. Not to mention internal features like an intervalometer and double exposures etc... otherwise a great camera.

I shoot manual focus lenses mostly and had to return the a7rii because the screen output was absolute trash. That has been fixed along with the joystick and new battery make this worth the money. Best Sony camera yet.

there are a few things that it doesn't do that you would think it would.. Like communicate through its own wifi to a computer.. or transfer images like a wifi enabled camera would.. an articulating viewfinder would be useful.. other than that.... It is the dopest camera with huge versatility in the video world and photo world.. love them!

This is all I ever wanted the previous a7rii to be. Quick to focus, responsive, accurate, long lasting battery and it makes a Canon 85 1.2 perform like a native lens. Stunning!

I got the first stock of A7R II, as well as the A7R III. I gotta say that I loved this series of camera for either videography and photography. The A7R III has a significant upgraded from mark II and fixed almost all the problems that A7RII has.

I have zero complaints about this setup. This is not my daily driver but I use this set up VERY often and its lightweight, the battery lasts me about 2 full shoots before I need to replace the battery, and the small size of this body fits my hand perfectly.

RAW file image quality approximately the same (perhaps very slightly better) than a7R II. Improvement is greater with higher quality lenses for given focal length than upgrade from predecessor. Responsiveness in writing to memory card and battery life are significantly better.
