I am IN LOVE with my new camera! It's the best upgrade I could've asked for in my price range and the images that I'm able to capture now are GORGEOUS. I'm still learning all of the new functions and features, but so far I love it and I'm obsessed with it. 10/10 recommend!

Really enjoying the new feature after upgrading from the a7ii. I especially like being able to focus while zoomed in and the APS-C mode for macro stuff. Bottom plate was not quite flat, but I put an L-bracket on. Hopefully not an issue with tightening the base plate. Bit thicker than the ii and heavier. Resolution and clarity are amazing though.

Came up from an A7ii, what a change! Its everything I hoped for as an enthusiast, the detail from the 43MP sensor is quite astounding. Cropping has just been taken to another level. But that's only the small of it. You know all about the camera if you're reading this.

I have shot interiors with a Leaf altus CCD back for 10 years and I tested this sensor and found that my Leaf rolls off in the highlights more smoothly and holds more detail on normal exposures. The Sony is so much less noise in the shadows that I can under expose by 2 stops and get the highlight detail with smoother shadows. With regret I have transitioned to the Sony.

Bought this to update my a72. Very satisfied with the updated ergonomics, functions, and high resolution. Great price right now as well. Currently use it with the Sony 24mm and the Tamron 28-75mm and it's awesome!

The reviews tell this tale best - you can't find a better all around mirrorless body than the a7rIII. And at $2600 now, why would you buy less of a camera? (sorry a7III...) The 3.0 firmware upgrade put this 2-yr-old back on top and reminded me of the wise decision to buy one in the first place.

Having this camera for a couple of weeks and testing it with my Samyang 85mm and Sigma 24-70 lenses. So far I am very happy with the camera performance despite its unfriendly ergonomic buttons and dials and its horrendously confusing menu system. This is my first Sony switching from Nikon who was a Nikonian since the beginning of time. Wish Sony learned a thing or two from Nikon on designing the body and handling.

I am a 100% sony user since my beginnings and I really see that with this camera I can improve my work; doubt a lot between the 7iii and the 7iiiR since their features are very similar and the price is not. But what led me to make the decision is its resolution since when making cuts and frames, quality is not lost with respect to the 7iii and its shutter is designed to last twice as long.

So far have only used it a few days. Many features - but so far on the basics image quality - even in low light quite good. Like the better battery life a lot as well. It will take a while before I can decide if the pixel shift technology is something I will use much. only a limited number of software packages will read them, and perhaps only the Sony software will generate them.

Greatly improved over A7r II, - autofocus, eye autofocus, menu system and options. all improved. A pleasure to use; more professionally oriented.

Own both an a7iii and the a7Riii. Appreciate absence of AA filter to get slightly sharper resolution. Could have spent more and have an a7Riv, but the smaller pixels of the M4 compromise low light, high ISO performance which for me is more of a detriment than having only 42 mp!

Lightweight and solidly built. Love the eye focus feature which really works! Perfect for those all day conference jobs. Takes a bit getting used to the menus coming from a Nikon background but a great camera once you figure everything out.

I just switched to Sony ar7r iii from a7r. Before that I use canon 5d mark iii and easy to carry with 35mm 2.8 lenses and other lenses for portrait.

I have a Sony a7RII but need a second camera body for my work; one with a 16-35 zoom, the other with a telephoto. a7R4 definitely a best option except the price. I felt that the a7R3 could be well fit my need. with a few days field test, I am sure that my decision was right.

I've used it for a variety of projects and I have to say it is fantastic. The megapixels are always a plus, but the UI is very user friendly, and the pixel shift feature makes some photos I wouldn't have imagined were possible.

I have been using the A7Rii for years and decided it was time to upgrade a bit. This camera is so much better with battery power and the 2 memory card slots are good to have. It's definitely a step up.

I shoot manual focus lenses mostly and had to return the a7rii because the screen output was absolute trash. That has been fixed along with the joystick and new battery make this worth the money. Best Sony camera yet.

I did 6-8 weeks worth of research before deciding to buy the A7R iii and I'm glad I did. It's a feature-rich photography beast which will perform excellently in most any photography scenario which I can dream up, and I'm looking forward to many years of shooting high quality pics and video with it.
