None of my other electronics overheat after 10 minutes. I was shooting on the deck where it is about 78F, and the camera shut down. That's a loser for me.Also, I thought my GH4 takes better looking photos. You know, I hate buying apps after spending $ too. I returned it. Maybe the GH5 will outperform this. It's utterly shameful for a manufacturer to put out an unfinished product.Shame on you Sony. Shame on you.

They advertise this as 4k video. But it's just not a camera meant to be used for video. Overheats after long usage. Money can be spent on a way more reliable camera.

The only good thing about this camera is that it's small compared to a DSLR. There are too many negatives to justify a camera at this price. The negatives to me are no lossless compressed raw, battery life sucks, slow and expensive.

I waited anxiously for this camera. Most of the features were as advertised. Low light is good, 4k, good... but one pan from left to right, and hello jello rolling shutter. Sent it back immediately, and I'm going to wait patiently for the Black Magic Ursa Mini with global shutter. Some of the pre release reviews raised this as a bit of a concern, but it was more than that to me. One basic pan is all it took. My canon 60d does better. I had even bought the Ronin-M and a bunch of other gear from B&H right when I got the delivery notice for the A7R II. Just told the UPS guy to not even drop it off and return to sender. Now I have to get the full size Ronin. Oh ya, whats with wrapping the XAVC-S in an MP4? I didn't like that much either. ... More

Anything over 200 asa was grainy compared to other dslr's in the market around this price range. I'm not sold on this camera. Silent shutter in single shot/Raw mode is great. Electronic viewfinder not so good for critical focusing. Theres a slight delay in the shutter button.

This thing doesn't seem to be of much use. I've shot another brand for years and swapped it all out for this Sony system, because of the light weight and good reviews. This camera is a pain to use. Menu's are all over the place and good luck with That learning curve. Spot focus? What a pain. I shoot people and culture and with one of the Sony high end lens, it's a serious pain. Anything over iso 1600, is no good in my opinion. Plus, the higher the iso, the darker the viewfinder. Maybe if it's for photojournalism and doesn't need to be quality. If it all comes together right, the images are good, sharp and a bit more tonal range, but that's offset by weaker colors than other established camera makers. I sent it back, asking for another one, hoping the first was a bad product. I'll see, but don't have much hopes as I use primes and the one I used was pathetically slow to focus. ... More
