It's lovely. The sound quality is, to my ears, comparable to a beta 58. That's what's inside supposedly, so it should be I guess. It feels a little quicker to pop my p's, but I think it's going be a training thing for me to be more conscious of that. It's not a TON of that, but a little more. I was schooled up to get also order the quick release clip thing, so I don't strip my mic stand threading and unthreading that thing for every show. Worthy of considering. Over all? So far, so good.

The Shure SUPER 55 microphone is the smartest purchase I have ever made. This microphone is amazing the sound and sensitivity are beyond words ...now that I own one I will NEVER use anything else but SUPER 55. My band members can't believe the difference in my vocals now they want to purchase one for themselves...if you are recording or singing live THIS IS THE MICROPHONE FOR YOU...I GIVE IT TEN STARS OUT OF FIVE ...that's how badass this microphone is

Everyone has their preferences, and there are pros and cons to any piece of audio equipment - especially microphones. For my money, this Super 55 in the Limited Edition Black is really terrific, and I expected no less from Shure. The classic 55 series has been around for decades, and I've owned several over the years. This newest version does not disappoint - and it is just too cool looking on stage! My thanks to Nate at Rocket Skates Recording for a great deal and fast shipping!

When you realize everyone from broadcasters to metallica use shure 55s you cant go wrong. These are seen all over country and metal stages. I needed additional mics and have the original Elvis astatic 77 mics but they are hard to find now reasonably and i dont want to damage them. These are great mics solid look awesome and sound even better. Get them before they run out and you are stuck with plain old stainless steel lol.

I own a audio company in Southern California. I needed a vintage mic to use for a gig with a Billie Holliday impersonator. I ordered the Super 55 and was not disappointed. The mic sounded GREAT!!! It had superior off access rejection as my FOH speaker system had to be behind the performer in a very tight space. The mic is beautifully crafted and very sturdy.

I have used Shure products since 1962. Back then we had 545's & 55's; I have been using Sm 57"s since the 80's. Well I bought Super 55 Deluxe and I can;t believe the how good it is. It is pretty directional, doesn't feed back, and it will pick you up from a foot away, It's going to be my go to mic when I gig.

As a singer for my band I was looking for a mic that will pick up my vocals to match the loud guitars and drums. This mic not only delivered well for a life performance. It also helps that it has the retro look and is a heavy piece of gear. If you want a clear sound mic then this is it hands down.

The SHURE Super 55 is a great microphone, with the vintage look and sound that is great, just seems vocals are better especially using the CLOUD LIFTER with this mic.

This mic sounds great! If you're into vintage styles like myself, a rockabilly cat, you're gonna love the sound and vibe. There is one problem with it, and after researching it, it is rather common. The connection for the PA cable loosens, causing the signal to cut out. It is fixable, just a hassle. Hope this helps!

It is a beautiful mic - I don't want to even use it as it looks like an art piece and I have it on top of a piano right now and I may have to get another one to use as I like the way this looks just on display.

This mic both looks great and sounds great. And let's be honest; both are very important. I'm using this mic for both spoken word performances and the vocalist in the band I play with and I love it for both occasions.

The microphone was every bit as great and even exceeded my expectations. I was using a Sennheiser e835 and this one really sounds much better at all angles with perfect quality Great Rockabilly look and sound. I highly recommended it and it looks and sounds great!

The Mic is absolutely great. You don’t need to put any effect on it, as it sounds accurate and bright on it’s own. Compared to the shure sm 58 this one is much more present, loud and has way more gain. Nice balanced and makes you sound great!

Beside the stellar look this microphone is a keeper. It sounds fantastic (warm and clear), is super sturdy and reacts very dynamic with what you do. There is nothing i can wish for more than this microphone offers.

Wow! Mics sounds really great! Good choice if you play an instrument and sing at the same time or move around a lot during your perfomance because the target is quite large. Sturdy construction , will last a lifetime. Amazing looks!

This mic is solid. My band does rock music and we got 0 feed back in our 20X20 ft. practice room. Pretty impossible with any other mic. The quality is accurate and raw. Also good for my video voice over work. Lastly, no microphone looks sexier.

Great mic! I like the finish (matte finish). the blue filter inside the mic looks good. Set up with my mixer for our karaoke system and it makes a great sound when singing. ..and it matches our chrome mic stand rocker.. Worth the price!!!

I have no negatives. It looks cool & sounds cool. It certainly has a hotter output so pull back on your vocal volume on the board. It captures very quiet vocals and the singer can whisper low parts close to the mic and be captured with clarity & volume.
