I bought these because I was simply tired of using headphones when I was on a plane or mixing in the field. Bottom line is that I am glad I did! One of the best features of the 846s are the extended low end, as well as going all of the way up to 20kHz. Not only do I get great isolation in the field, but I also have a good idea of how much bottom end I can roll off. Plus, the tuneable high end response makes these perfect no matter who the user is and what application you are using them for. The best and most important feture of the 846s is the simple fact that they protect my ears from loud/harsh environments and I can listen on them for hours without wearing out my ears! ... More

Best IEM I have ever listened with. They are very expensive but if you can spend the extra money to get that little extra out of these, you will be happy.

I don't own any other earphones in this price range but have have had Shure SE-110, Shure SE-215, Shure SE-535, and a few Westone IEMs. These are noticeably better in terms of sound quality. Makes me want to listen to all my old music from the mid-90s to see what I missed out on. At the price point if $629 it's definitely worth purchasing. Same IEM as the $999 price point but has the old BT-1 cable instead of the new BT-2 cable. At this price I'd rather use the cable and not sacrifice sound quality anyways.

The sound from these earbuds is absolutely amazing. Bass is warm and precise. Mids are absolutely clear and beautiful. Highs are crisp. Everything sounds so true. I was able to hear to some new details never heard before from my favorite songs. They are also very comfortable and have a great list of accessories to customize them for every person. You can even customize frequency response with emphasis on bass or highs depending on your personal music preferences. Bottom line - best earphones your money can buy!

This is probably of the best earphones I've ever had the pleasure to hear and own. Detail, clarity & bass is second to none. Build quality is on another level as well. My only concern or complaint with this earphone is the fact that it sounds so good that I am tempted to turn it up more than needed and it actually hurt my ears the quality is so pure. I ended up selling it for that simple reason. When these are on sale it is no brainer to purchase them!

Coming from years of using Shure SE535 to SE846, only happened because of the sale price on B&H this Holiday season, and the Shure Se535 falling apart at the glued seams once again. I thought the sound on the SE535 were great, until I got the SE846. Not a audiophile, but the sound difference is clearly an improvement. While a little bigger in size, it still fits very comfortably and sound isolation is great.

It todays day and age with music streaming and bluetooth earbuds, high fidelity audio is taking a backseat to convenience. What I'm getting at is that it's rare that I'm actually listening to a source worthy of the quality of these little buds. They have completely replaced my chunky studio headphones and they sound better that over-ears you can get from companies like audio technica. Highly recommend for working professionaly and for people who want to buy nice, not twice

B&H had a sale that I can't resist and ended up buying these earbuds. Used them on flights without noise cancellation and have no problem. Sounds great compared to my 535. I've tried on different sounding nozzles and find the White ones sound the best to me. The default Blue is a little to muddy to me. Good set! Highly recommended if you can get them while on sale.

I have used Shure earbuds for several years for mainly biking and skiing. They have always performed perfectly delivering incredible bass with a perfect balance of highs and mids. They offer several different options of sleeves that go into the ear so that you can customize the fit best for your ear, so there is no dis-comfort or fatigue. If you want fantastic sounding earbuds, do not hesitate to pay the price. They are worth every penny.

I frequently use them while I am traveling. What can I say, it's been one of the best earbuds I've owned. You can visibly see an impressive engineering inside these transparent earbuds. There is nothing bad about this product. It's pricey but at the same time it is really hard to find a combination of Top-class performance and True portability. I love them. Cheers

These In-ear isolating headphones surpass, by far, the anticipated quality I was imagining. It's remarkable to listen and hear the outstanding quality of every instrument as well as vocals. There is no distortion or diminished anything with these. Highly recommend this amazing product!!!

I've have used many earbuds, this Shure SE846 is the best sounding earphones. I look for wireless earbuds that if the bluetooth battery has problem, I can replace the bluetooth unit only. wireless is good for mobile but when I listen to music, wire is always better than wireless.

Yes, it was worth the upgrade from the SE535s. The sound is fuller overall, especially on the low end.
