I have owned a pair of 3 way Westones, the comparison is unfair but I was left wanting more mids in the Shure IEM. Still the Shure are amazing and considerably less money, by half. I’ve worn them for a couple of weeks and love them. Note; for me, it took a bit of time to find the correct ear tips which are best for you. Once found the position in you ear canal is important for the best sound fidelity. Place them deeper in the ear canal more bass and less mids and highs are present. If play with them you can the sweet spot for you. ... More

So I had a pair of Shure se215 earphones and they sounded great for the price, but not really enough sound for a person like me who likes to listen to there music at high volumes. Then I purchased a pair of Shure se535, they sounded great, but a little too harsh for me so I winded up returning both of them. Then I purchased these, they are just perfect for my listening needs and the bass is also great. I'm very happy I got these and once you get the correct ear tip that fits your ears correctly, you'll be very satisfied with your purchase. ... More

I use these headphones as in-ear monitors for live gigs and they have been amazing! The contour of the ear bud attachments fits right in the curvature of your ear which means they lock in and stay put. Love the range of lows and highs. I finally have headphones that don't fall out and give me a full mix! I've also been using them for when I'm getting work done at coffee shops and the snug fit means you block out the noise around you and can get stuff done! I'd highly recommend these headphones. Great for people who want high quality but can't afford customs. ... More

I have used Shure earphones for many years in my helmet while motorcycling. I decided to upgrade from an earlier product to the SE425 for the durability and low profile fit. The design makes it easy to get a snug full-face helmet over the earphones without dislodging them. The cable is extremely durable and holds up very well to flapping in the wind at highway speeds. The sound is awesome, crisp tight base, and very clean highs. Very good sound isolation from wind noise when I'm not playing my music. Very, very satisfied with the quality and ruggedness of the SE425. ... More

B&H You guy's did a wonderful job, I got exactly what I ordered and it was delivered when you said it was going to be . As far has the Shure SE425 Wireless Sound-Isolating Earphones go They are the best I have used so far. I do like the previous unmiked cable better it seemed sturdier. The new cable is definetly not the same quality as the one that came with my SE215's. But this one comes with the bluetooth cable so... its a wash. I will definetly be buying my next set of Ear Bud/phones from B&H. Thanks for the great service. ... More

I bought the Monster Beat by Dre Tours at first. But when they shorted out in the right ear after 2 weeks, I replaced them with the Sure SE315's. Compared to the Beats Tour, and dont get me wrong I love the Beats by Dre over ear stuff. But the Sure ear buds are definitely BETTER. I have a pair of Beats SOLO's and those are great. They sound like you're at the club. But the Tours are too bassy for ear buds and in the end sound is distorted. The Sure ear buds are High volume with totally clear sound! The better choice if you've got the extra cash. ... More

I got these to replace a pair I'd lost. I predominantly use them for work (as a musician on stage). I don't use them for monitoring mixes and casual listening, however I tested them out after receiving them and was disappointed by how dull they sound. They'll suffice for practicing and/or tracking in the studio but I wouldn't recommend these for enjoying music at all. I don't believe there is a marked difference from this 425 model and the one or two models below this one.

Let's be clear. Shure headsets are top tier for audiophiles. I own and number of Shure headsets. The SE425 while sounding great, they just don't fit comfortable in my ears. They come with a plethora of ear pieces but for me I couldn't find the right fit for my ears. The buds kind of twist to a specific angle to be properly inserted in the ear. Kind of like a hearing aid. The cable must be bent firmly over the ear to avoid the buds loosening from the ear. It's just a design that either works for you, or not.

I use them for monitoring (I sing on a really loud band!!) and daily use. Unsurpassed for isolating external noise and great sound as well. If you want to protect your hearing, this is the way to go either on stage, rehearsing, or on a plane since you can keep volume really low without compromising enjoyment.

These are professional quality in every way. They come with a coupon inviting you to go to an audiologist and have a mold made to send in and have custom inserts. The cord detaches, it comes with a full pack of different size inserts., a wax cleaner, a large size plug adapter, and an okay case. Sound quality is top notch.

They are expensive, but if you can spend the extra money I feel that the SE425's are well worth it. Very good separation of sound from crisp highs to booming lows. I've been using the foam ear inserts and they provide exceptional noise reduction. I haven't used them to play live music with yet, but I'm looking forward to hearing how good they sound.

Never mind the crazy crazy price point, but, I've had these for a year and... Build quality: Garbage! Poorly built out of cheapest materials. Design: Terrible - There is a twistie-tie to hold the earpieces in place that you have to wrap around your ears each time that you put them on and then you have to unwind to take off. The microphone is impossible to get to hang in a useful position without holding it. Microphone: Useless, I tried using for phone or video conferencing, and nobody can hear me. Sound quality: OK, this is what sold me. Sound quality is very good. But in the past year, other less expensive equipment is available with sound quality that is pretty much as good. ... More

Horrible, no bass at all. Ears blew just from me practicing keyboards at home the first time I opened them, guitar center wouldn't let me take them back bc of "sanitary issues" I'm so mad. I bought the warranty but I don't want another pair of these horrible headphones. The 215s are better don't buy these

Was fed up of my really expensive moulded in ears dying at the most inopportune moments, but my SE215s didn't really cut it. So jumped at these when I saw the price - amazing. Would be nice to get moulds for these and really seal them up. Very happy.

I searched the st looking for a neutral sound, all of the reviews pointed to these and they were right. While not the cheapest, they are one of the most clear sounding ones I have used. The variety of sleeves allow a custom fit without the cost of a custom ear piece. I use the foam and they are great noise blockers along with great outside noise blockers.

This is my second pair of Shures, wore out the first pair after at least one hundred thousand air miles. Also have a pair of Bose QuiteComfort. What I found for me was I was able to sleep better while on 15 hour flights with the Shures, also the sound is much better.

Comes with all accessories (ear pieces, connectors, blue tooth!) sound quality is absolutely wonderful and when I'm playing on the kit I don't even have to wear soundproof headphones over them! 10/10 would recommend!!!

The good is that these things sounds amazing. clear and articulate, beautiful. But I might have to return them just they are built like garbage toys. actually, the little bus themselves seem okay, but the cables and clips are junk, keep falling off, and are soooo uncomfortable! they use these coated bag ties that you shared around your ears - seriously!!! unreal!

I really like using these with the foam pads. They fit my ear exceptionally well and block most other sound. Some have commented these a lacking bass. I agree the bass is not dominant, but it is there, and part of very crisp, clear sound.

Great sound, clear and crisp throught the spectrum, though not as hot as the E4Cs I bought these to replace. A little lacking in the low-end, which is to be expected for drivers of this size (you can't defy physics). Still, I'm very satisfied with the purchase.
