The good: The sound quality is very good and the control software is easy to use. The bad: The real-time monitoring is subpar. I use a pair of Shure SE215 in-ear monitors but can never get a satisfactory balance between my sound and the sound from the computer (e.g., when used with Zoom for video call). If this is important to you, Rode NT-USB Mini may be a better option. If a USB option is not important to you, look else where.

I love that it has both xlr and usb. My only complaint is that it doesn't use a USB C type connector. The micro USB is flimsy and the cable it comes with is cheap. I had to purchase a higher quality cable.

The quality of sound from the microphone is incredible via USB & far exceed my expectations. The boom arm is amazing quality & cable management is fantastic. Setup is very easy for the boom arm & microphone. USB cable is very long that comes with the microphone which give you a lot of flexibility of the location of the microphone.

Love the mic and the boom is also perfect. With the boom, the mic can easily positioned where you need it to be - even if you move around a lot. Use it for everything now (streaming, zoom calls, Discord, etc). Voice quality is incredible and people notice. Should start asking for commission, got at least 3 others to get it as well :)

I typically run my mics through an audio interface but after watching reviews on the great quality of the USB connection for the MV7, I had to try it out. I've been very pleased with the performance especially working within a non-treated room. You may want to consider a pop filter, as a plosives are a little rough even when using good mic technique.

I decided to upgrade over the Blue Yetti and this mic works great. It takes a minute to get the settings correct for your workspace but does a good job of eliminating low-frequency noise without losing clarity. The only con I can think of is the mic volume could be louder at 100% via usb. That's not a major issue if you use a DAW. Well worth the investment.

Got this for recording videos, but even on zoom meetings people are remarking on clarity. One caution - even when I set Audiate to use this microphone it kept using the system microphone. I was able to resolve this by disabling the system microphone. Need to do this every time which is a minor hassle but well worth it. Software also allows you to adjust timbre of voice

The MV7 is worth the money if you are moving up from the basic buster head set mic, need a solid XLR or USB mic for podcasting or YouTube. It looks the part on stream and sound quality is nice.. 1-10 I'll give this an 8.5 In XLR mode it needs a little more gain but sounds amazing I ended up buying another for my stream partner

I've used multiple microphones before I discovered the MV7 when a knowledgeable sales/tech associate at GC listened to my objectives and recommended this Shure. Captured sound quality is considerably clearer and richer than my prior microphones some that had come highly rated.

Got great VOG style recordings out of a normal non-dampened room using the presets in the motiv software.

Really clear audio quality and VERY easy to set up and use regularly. Would recommend for those wanting an elevated quality level without the more hefty price tags that come with higher end models

I love this mic. My only complaint is that it uses the old style micro usb, which is flimsy. They should have gone with the USB-C instead.

Plug it in, download the ShurePlus MOTIV app for your particular device, and you're good to go. It's a great sounding mic. What more can you ask for?
