I bought this to try it with my iPad. The positive thing was that it was easy to set up. I was recording in less than 15 minutes. But it's basically a toy. Anyone who wants to do serious recording needs to spend at the very least a couple of hundred dollars for a real microphone, and get Apple Logic or another DAW product, like some of the one's listed here on the Guitar Center site. I'm taking this back. The stand is metal, but the mic itself is made out of plastic. I can't imagine it being used for more than just playing around with. I'm kind of surprised Shure was willing to put their name on it. I think it's over priced. ... More
