Shure has improved the venerable SM58 and created a new standard for vocal mics. What more is there to say? I don't give it full points for value, however, since there are plenty of knock-offs that perform almost as well for a third to a half the money. But if you can afford it, you won't regret picking up the Beta 58 (well, you might regret not getting a Neumann instead, but...)
