I just bought this, and I have to say it works great. If you are doing a church setting. The range is very good and not once did it drop out .

I use this mic system for my Sony A7rIII rig. It works great whether it's using the lav or an XLR mic. My only reason I would give it 4.5 instead of 5 stars (but you can't give .5 here) is that the lav is VERY HOT. By that, I mean I have to turn down the gain literally to 1 on my camera. Anything louder is too loud. If you're interviewing a person who is talk very loud or singing, you're going going to get clipping. Fortunately, I have the XLR input so if I know things are going to get loud, I use that. I would definitely recommend this as your SLR/Mirrorless mic. ... More

I use this to record interviews. I plug the XLR receiver directly into my Zoom H5 and the sound quality meets my expectations. It's very quick and easy to setup and use. I like the compact size. So far I've used them for 3.5 hours straight and the battery has not died. I'll be ordering a second set soon.

As designed, this system is trivially-easy to use. I use it to video record talks at small tech events. Plenty of charge for 2+ hours of use (probably a lot more), excellent sound quality, and excellent build quality. My only quibble is it would be nice to have another way to control the volume, perhaps an app, rather than use my camera's somewhat-inconvenient controls. (An app might be challenging to implement though, due to the need to pair to the phone as well as to each other...)

Basically the title says it all. These types of units are great if you have a mixer that you are plugging into the camera to turn the volume down, but recording a lavalier mic into the camera (I use a Panasonic GH4 at the lowest input volume, -12db) will have your audio clipping and distorted because there is no way to turn the volume down in the receiver. The only reason I was able to salvage the audio from the shoot was because the limiter in the camera somewhat saved the day.

This is a complete failure. I wish I can return it. So Xvive U3 is much better. Cheaper, more stable. The type C charging is a joke. It is not even fast charge. The cable given can be used to charge one at a time. While Xvive U3 can charge both with microUSB cable. Connection is a serious issue. With 1-2m distance, the connection can fail or swap channels constantly. I feel that sennheiser RnD capability has worsened in past few years. Will buy Xvive from now on.

Bought this in 2020, but ended up not using it weekly as intended. We used it 3 times back in Oct 2020, and the fourth time was this last Wednesday 24 2021... on Friday, today the 26 of November, the receiver simply died, and won't turn on or charge AT ALL! And customer service is unreachable! Won't recommend AT ALL!

I purchased four of these for international run and gun. The morning of a shoot where I needed 8 audio channels, not one set of mics would pair successfully. Completely ruined my shoot and my day and cost clients big. These are junk and you should keep them very far from you kit if you need a dependable solution.

This is a great value and easy to use. Sounds great and works well. Battery life has been as promised and very easy to charge up. I wish they would include a dual usb wall charger and two charging cables.I added those things to the kit so I can simultaneously charge receiver and transmitter together.

Honestly, the indoor range is not that good, however, the sound quality and the outdoor performance are amazing

Am shooting a documentary with a lot of spontaneous conversations/dynamic observational scenes in it. With only one of these XSW-D lavaliers on the main subject I am picking up all of the conversations in clear and very usable sound. Just got a second pair as I am anticipating a few scenes with more than one main subject plus am going to test it on interviews.

I have the XRL version. Very clean sound and very easy to use. I typically have it connected to my Zoom H6 and that feeds into my main camera, a Canon XA50. I most often record in our studio classroom with very little interference but need the mobility of a wireless mic. Looking forward to using the system in the field soon.

We purchased two the the Sennheiser XSW-D Lavalier sets to make video recordings on a Fujifilm X-T3 and the quality is AWESOME! Set up and pairing was easy. The battery life is good for about 1.5 hours which allows us to get in about three 20-25min shoots before charging.

These are great when they work. I've been using three of these since about October and have had a popping noise/interference that occurs during recording. It lasts about a split second and happens at least once or twice during a 20 minute recording. Contacting Sennhesier about it, I don't trust them.

I own a couple sets of Sennheiser G2 E100's and they are great units, but sometimes they are a hassle with finding a good channel, resetting, and going thru a sequence to pair up. I got the XSW-D for a run and gun option that gets my audio working right away. Little hassle with a Sennheiser professional result. Looking forward to using these bad-boys in may interviews to come.

Turned it on once, but could not properly use it. The lack of button control like the Rode Wireless GO Compact, is making this unit not a great choice. It does not neither have an intelligent audio that makes anything sources coming in extra loud and cranky from a Mixer, even with the XLR adapter ... another waste. Will not recommend.

The mic only works when directly against your mouth in a lateral position, ie. not if it's held upright. Untrained users like to hold the mic at their collarbone and not close to their mouth, and certainly not in a performance like position where the mic is parallel to the ground. It's a good mic but not for what I need it to be.

We ordered this to use with a MEVO Start camera. It worked great the one time we were able to use it. The camera receiver port seems to have come loose inside the housing. I cannot unscrew the coiled cable from it. I have submitted a RMA. I don't have any other complaints beside this issue. However, I am concerned the internal components will stop working with the port spinning inside.
