These are great mics. Very nice build and sound quality for the money, and I've purchased and used several of these over the years. This time I was building out some kits to use as on-board ambient audio and/or man on the street interview mics for a pair of C200 cinema cameras.

Sennheiser mics are great, and this shotgun mic is no exception. Records great quality audio for interviews at a relatively low price. Comes with a carrying case, foam cover, and hot-shoe clip for mounting on top of a camera for run-and-gun shoots. Great audio setup without breaking the bank.

I am amazed at the super-blimp. It knocks out wind noise really well. The Shotgun mic sounds amazing coming from an old Audio Technica AT875R. I leave the mic in the blimp all the time.

It's a perfect mic for run and fun shoots. No need to be powered as it has a battery slot. I use in on the Komodo and the quality of the Sennheiser as you would think will not disappoint you.

Well, what can you say? Best mic with the 416; they are actually very close: this has a light lesser range but it's also more portable. Audio is terrific!

I've always used the Audio-Technica AT897 Shotgun Mic in the past but decided to try the Sennheiser MKI 600. As soon as I got it, I did an audio test and it sounded awful; it sounded distorted. I've used boom mics for 13 years and I've never had one sound so bad. Maybe it was a fluke and I got a bad one, but it made me decide not to get another Sennheiser MKI 600. So I returned it and purchased another Audio-Technica AT897 Shotgun Mic since they've always worked great for me in the past.

The most important thing to me about a good microphone... it should not introduce hiss or noise when there is no sound in the room. This mic has a very quiet noise floor.

After years of a subpar shotgun and no blimp, I'm blown away at how effective the blimp and deadcat are in heavy winds. Love it, highly recommend.

This is a quality product, but I would recommend the phantom power extender in order to use a sock mount and dead cat with it affectively.
