Great closed back headphones. Fairly linear, good separation. Mine required burn-in. Ignore comments about shoddy construction unless you plan to sit on 'em. From just listening all the way to mixing, they should get the job done for you.

I need to monitor sound as I transfer old SVHS tapes. I actually don't wear them on my head all the time as they pump out enough quality sound with them resting beside me. Good quality, great sound and they really cancel everything else when wearing them.

I use this product for my general amusement and it exceeds all of my expectations. Although the sound can't compare to 300$+ headphones, these headphones are a must-buy for anyone looking for an introductory pair of studio headphones.

I do production sound recording -- much of it in the field, in the bag. I like the sound and feel of these headphones, but they are much bulkier than their Sony equivalent (MDR). I only wish they were a little more field kit-friendly when folded in.

KCUR uses these Headphones for On-Air and for production. The Announcers' chose them. The warranty is 2 years! These are accurate enough to satisfy the users. These are our 'standard' headphones. Best for Studio use. On KCUR's talk shows, non-profesionals use these daily.

Use it with my Dr100 mk ii for audio monitoring. when I put this on it cuts all the amibient noise outside and I can immerse myself into the sound from my recording device onsite. this is a bargain for sure

They were on special and I decided to try them. Good sound isolation, but base is not as strong and high end more muffled as compared to the Sony 7506. At least that is what my ears hear. Your mileage may vary.

Very clear sound. Had a pair of $20 Sony headphones before this, and I am blown away by the quality. Really changes your perspective when editing. I read some reviews from people saying that the headphones are a too small, but they fit fine to me w/plenty of room to expand. Great buy.

Much better for professional use than noise cancelling headphones. They do not need batteries, reduce all kinds of noise and are not affected by wind.

I researched a lot, the opinion of many professional studios, when I heard a song that I hear almost daily, only now realized it has a good sound of birds in the background. Very good. A product that has helped me in the mix.

I manage a speech-language lab and we use these headphones for transcribing videos. They are high-quality phones that I wish I could afford for personal use. They do weigh on the top of my head after 2+ hours of use, but my ears are always comfortable.

I bought this headphones for listening music at work. They are comfortable and I like them so far. The sound is good but not as good as a pair of Grado 60. The bass is not as clear but the mid ranges are very good. They are well built and I think they will be durable. Good value for the money.

I use these headphones in a noisy office and the noise cancelling aspect is terrific. I now hear sounds in the music I never knew where there. I have heard musicians say this is a headphone song, now I get it. Best sound I have ever heard.

The Sennhiser HD 280 Pro headphone are a great flat frequency response and sensitive response headphone great for recording and mixing. They are closed back and have a good sound isolation. But being closed back they are uncomfortable after a while (sweaty ears).

I got these for my son for Christmas. He uses them for recording. He loves them! I still use Sennheiser HD414 headphones that are over 30 years old. I knew I couldn't go wrong with the Sennheiser brand. Great buy for the price.

These headphones are very comfortable to use for extended periods of time. They sound great monitoring a wide variety of musical genres. Isolation is superb with virtually no bleed-through during overdubs. B&H service and pricing are second to none. I highly recommend the HD-280 Pro's and B&H!

Picked these up for my wife. She likes to listen to music while relaxing/meditating or if wakes up in the middle of the night. She has been very happy with them. They are very comfortable, great noise rejection and very clear sound. Perfect match for what she was looking for.

These are replacing a pair of cans from a big box store. For forty bucks more you get pro quality gear. I am using these for capturing sound for video news work and they are great. All but big noises are blocked and the sound really matches what is coming out of the camera. ... Thanks again.

I am heavily into listeing classical music (European and Indian). The sound is extreley clear and very very crispy. The bass sound is of pretty high quality, but not overwhelming. And it is not a gaming headphone, its for serious music. I am happy that I got it.

Great sound for the money - keep out outside sound very well. I am using them for editing a film project and with IPod. I am pretty picky about sound - classical musician - and work with musicians professionally. good value.
