I use these Sennheiser HD 280 Pros for videography and sound editing. For the price these are one of the best. Durable and sound great. The only headphone that comes close in this price range are the Sony MDR7506s, which aren't as well constructed (though I admit are a tad more comfy)

I own a recording studio. These are MY go to headphones. The clients always want to use MY headphones rather than the stock (cheap) ones I have available because they say they're more comfortable AND sound better. I have the cheap ones 'cause clients always drop/break/step on them..... I should charge more and GIVE them a pair of HD280's when the session is done!

Has good sound quality and comfortable. I do wish it had a longer straight cord but its not the end of the world.

These are very accurate sounding headphones and the closed system is very helpful

Bought these in hope of getting better sound and the same amount of attenuation as another pair of headphones I already own. Isolation does not perform as effectively advertised. Sound quality is better, but only slightly. Overall volume is not enough for drumming as advertised. I knew these were not super professional headphones but thought they would be good enough for drumming. The difference from my other closed back isolation headphones was immediately apparent.

I got these as an alternative to the Sony MDR 7506 for on-set use. I wanted a little more over the ear fit, and these have that. I think the 7506 are a little more comfortable to wear, but they don't cover my ears as well as these. So it's a trade off, I think. Both sound great for field monitoring.

The HD 280 are great headphones and probably have the best noise attenuation of all the closed back headphones at 32db. They are very comfortable and I can wear them all day. The only thing I don't like is the heavy coiled cord. I wish they would come with a straight braided cord to make them much lighter and less prone to get tangled up. Otherwise for $ you can't beat them.

Great headphones, very comfortable at least to me. They come with a mini jack and quarter inch extension, makes them flexible in use. I use them at home, and for field recording. I recommend these! For the pros and cons, I only indicated for what I experienced. They seem durable (come with a 3 year warranty), but I only have them for a month - just so you know how to read my indications

3 year ago, I asked my father in law to buy in Germany a very good headphone from Senheiser. I'm from Brazil and here it's very expensive. So, I bought the Headphone Senheiser HD Pro 280 and I used it during these years and I was very happy. The sound quality is fantastic. But now my hd pro 280 doesn't work in the side R because, second the technical, the internal wire from the Headband is probably broken. So far it's ok, the problem is that I can't bought another Headband neither another wire because, this Headband is use up (discontinued). I'm very disappointed. Problems happen, but problems without solution. It's not typical from the Senheiser. And theoretically is a simple problem, just a wire... I expected at least the possibility to fix it, But no, now I need to buy another one, and It will not be a senheiser. ... More

I use these to produce music and monitor sounds for videos. They are great for monitoring and producing, the only problem with them is that they cup your ears in. Even my big ears fit in this, but it would probably hurt less if I had small ears.

I use these for home recording. I don't have a headphone amp, so I run them through an old Technics receiver. I use the Loudness control on the receiver to compensate for the flat response. They sound great and are very well made. They do a great job of isolation. I find they are a little tight on my head.

Great closed back headphones. Fairly linear, good separation. Mine required burn-in. Ignore comments about shoddy construction unless you plan to sit on 'em. From just listening all the way to mixing, they should get the job done for you.

The sound is good quality. It keeps noise away. It is confortable tough it is getting warm after awhile, which is normal for these kinds of headphone. I use it every in the bus and everywhere I am going.

They were on special and I decided to try them. Good sound isolation, but base is not as strong and high end more muffled as compared to the Sony 7506. At least that is what my ears hear. Your mileage may vary.

UN pesar de no ser la gamma mas alta de audifonos de Senheiser, estos audifonos funcionan muy bien, estamos contentos con su calidad y construccion.

I use these on my laptop. The sound is good, the feeling is solid. But after a few minutes, they are less comfortable than other Sennheisers I use for music listeneing, and I need to move them around to diminish my discomfort. Some way to adjust the pressure would be desirable.

These are replacing a pair of cans from a big box store. For forty bucks more you get pro quality gear. I am using these for capturing sound for video news work and they are great. All but big noises are blocked and the sound really matches what is coming out of the camera. ... Thanks again.

I'm not a sound engineer so I can't give a professional opinion on the quality, but in my opinion it's great. Very comfortable and sturdy casing for long shoots. I appreciate it comes with a 1/8 to 1/4 adapter. Great product, especially for the price!

These cans have great, flat sound. They are very accurate with crisp treble and forceful but not overwhelming bass. I use them mostly to listen to music and to edit movies in Final Cut. They also are great at blocking out sound.

I purchased these as a gift for my spouse and he has been very satisfied with them. He says they are very comfortable on his ears even after editing for 8-10 straight and the noise cancellation is excellent.
