Where to start? Thin audio is to live with. Having to charge the batteries is a potential disaster - if you forget. But the worst is the delay the digital processing produces. If you combine it with an analog system without a delay, monitoring is a pain, as you get a kind of echo when monitoring. And then you have to move the audio to sync in post!!! Only plus is a small receiver.

It looks great, and it sounds great. Its very easy for the frequencies to sync up and begin recording right away. A concern for me is the specific battery. Unlike having AA's to continue feeding it, when it's dead it's dead unless you spend more $$$ on extra batteries. It says it lasts at least three hours so it might not be an issue for many. Also...no manual gain control? I purchased this for those who are just getting started using this type of equipment so it seems pretty perfect!

I used this product mainly for roles that involve interview type scenes which allows for the person being filmed to not feel as though he needs to hide it. I thought that it was really clear and static free. My film didn't really consist of a lot of one on one interview type of scene so it was difficult when transitioning from clear audio to kind of a more static-like audio. I also liked that the wireless set synced up with each other easily so I didn't have to bother with that. Also, it died pretty quickly.

As a participant in Campus Movie Fest, the Sennheiser AVX Lavalier set was provided to us as one of our mic options, our group selected this mic because we felt it would be best for our style of film. Once we had the mic explained to us, it was fairly easy to use, which was great for us because we are first time student film makers. The setup was quick and easy and the sound quality was incredible! This is a mic I would love to work with again and again.

I've used it a couple of times and the quality and technology is amazing. For wedding videography we are always going into churches with different frequencies. To have this and have it automatically detect is just one less thing I have to worry about!!!

I was a little nervous to try a wireless set with rechargeable batteries but it surpassed my expectations this weekend at my wedding shoot. Battery life stayed at 13 hours even after an hours use. The sound was crisp and there were no interruptions like I have experience with other Lavalier sets. I highly recommend this set.

I've got 3 of the AVX wireless lav systems. Love the sound, the ease of use, the lack of a long antennae that always gets pinched. I have not experienced the clipping or delays mentioned in other reviews. One word of warning: if you purchase the HANDHELD mic the body of the microphone is very sensitive. If the holder moves their handling position, it gets picked up very easily. This needs to be fixed in future generations.

I own many other wireless lapel microphones and have had multiple issues with static and pops that ruin my audio while recording live events. I've owned the AVX for over a year now and I haven't had a single issue. I plug the receiver into a power brick and have recorded 8 hour events with zero problems. This is the second one I've purchased due to it's high quality, can't recommend these enough! I would and probably will purchase again!

I have used two of these during a film shoot and loved them. The price was super cheap so I had to jump onto the wagon to get one. I do have the G3 and so this would be the 2nd wireless system. There is a 14ms latency delay that one may need to consider 'moving the audio track' a bit to get it synced perfectly.

I used this mic on a short film, and it worked brilliantly. It was much easier and effective than using my shotgun mic. It worked best for my dialogue scenes, as it also picked up the other actors in the shot. It worked well from a great distance. The battery did not seem to last as long as I expected it to, but it still thrived far longer than my camera batteries. It was easy to use, and I will definitely be adding it to my list of regular film accessories.

I was given the Sennheiser AVX mic as a part of a competition and I thought I was going to be super helpful. My crew tested the mic out and the range and at first we thought it was too sensitive. After trying everything to reduce the sensitivity there was still too...

So far so good, still trying to figure out the different settings and wish instructions came with more detailed info. Will have to do some googling for tutorials. I live in Bay Area and am doing run and gun documentary and needed a wireless mic that would not get interference from all the frequencies around here. This one was recommended by a B&H rep. It seems high quality, but I also have a slight learning curve from one my one channel wireless lav to this one.

I participated in the Campus Movie Fest and had a few days to work with this easy to use mic. Most of my live music footage wasn't appropriate for it so I took it outside where there were birds, horses and cows. I used it with my Olympus LS - 20M Linear PCM Recorder which has its own built in mics. The Sennheiser has a substantially greater sensitivity and tolerance - amazing results for a brown cow at least 50 feet away.

My team and I received this gear for a weekend we spent on a short film. The gear worked phenomenally - it picked up farther than I thought it would and worked well with our own digital recorders. It made good audio easy to manage on such a tight schedule. The wireless capabilities made recording audio efficient, but with a digital recorder already in our kit, there were times we did not record wireless. It works great outdoors and even between walls.

I use these for interview mics on production, and this is the third set I've purchased, this time for my personal video kit. These mics are so easy to use and have never let me down, even in bandwidth-crowded environments.

Been using a G3 for a few years, I love the AVX now. Simple to use. The receiver is small and attaches a lot easier than the G3. Eliminated the long antennas of the G3 as well. Make sure to buy an extra set of rechargeable batteries if you have long shoots.
