Let me start with the weight of this mic. You'll feel it in your hands the moment you lift that box. If you like ALL metal construction, this one will satisfy. Heavy to me means, well crafted, professional and designed to LAST. Another thing you'll notice are the knobs. They have a great resistance as you adjust, not those flimsy knobs that you see with other mics of this price. You can do everything on this mic. It features 4 ways to capture sound: Stereo, Omnidirectional, Cardioid and Bi-Directional (figure 8) This mic blew me away in two ways: This USB mic provides near ZERO noise floor, and that is extremely important for professional grade recordings. I can't accept hiss on my recordings and this mic is now the primary mic I use on my PC, compared to other USB mics I have and rarely use because of the audio limitations. This mic sounds like a Condenser XLR!! Voice is so natural, crisp highs (treble) and doesn't color the sound with excessive unwanted bass. The midrange is also perfect. You do NOT need EQ in post or compressor if you don't want to. This mic sounded very close to my Audio-Technica AT4050 XLR costing almost 5 time the price. This mic handles plosives very well, but for even more plosive control, you can add a half circle POP filter that attaches to this mic via some sort of rubber band for normal DESKTOP Table use, or any round flat Pop filter you can mount / use while this mic is on a 5/8 mic stand. You can also mount this mic on a 5/8 stand. Keep in mind that since you'll have NO shock mount, you must record almost stationary and don't touch anything. The Mic's stand is removable, but I don't find the need since it doesn't get in the way while mounted on a mic stand. Cons: I with all controls were in the front of the mic especially the mic capture 4 way selector so I don't have to rotate the mic to change settings. I'm very impressed with this mic. For starters I am not an audiophile, but, like everyone else I am doing so many things from the home office, teaching classes, running dnd games, and the endless cycle of meetings. I wanted a simple, yet GOOD microphone to up the quality of audio and the Senal UC4-B delivered. My students and players have all been impressed with the upgrade. Firstly, it comes packaged beautifully, like any true premium item should. you will notice the weight immediately as you remove it from its foam bed. Next, it has real knobs! with clickable resistance (aside for the headphone audio in front). Simple to install, just connect USB and select the mic in your sound settings. nice bright green/red (on/mute) light. headphone jack makes it so simple to monitor how you sound on live, which is pretty cool! The stand it comes with is removable, and is not a cheapy piece either. PROS: easy to use USB, great knobs, headphone jack, sounds great! excellent construction. CONS: its heavy - but this is really due to its amazing construction. whenever computer restarts or wakes up from sleep the mic defaults to green on, instead of staying on mute. I sent this mic to a client to record some voiceover. His recordings were clipping like crazy so I hired a local sound recordist. This was his takeaway: The microphone has a decent sound, but sounds a little thin for its price class. The audio is still usable, and the microphone certainly isn't terrible, but in terms of comparability, the AKG Lyra is less expensive and shares similar components to those in the AKG 414, commonly used in professional studios to get you a sweeter, cleaner sound. The only major hang-up I have with the Senal microphone would be that I had to drop the gain all the way down to properly gain stage him to -6dB, which doesn't allow for much room for nuance, especially for a voice with a large dynamic range. There were portions of his recording that clipped because there was no way to gain stage it any lower. ... More

I purchased this wonderful microphone to add voiceovers to a few video projects I've been working on.and to use as a microphone for video meetings with my colleagues during mandatory telework. The microphone was very easy to install- essentially 'plug and play' on my iMac and MacBook Pro. It was also easy to set up for google meetings. Using it with final cut is simple and the sound is clear and crisp. Being able to set the gain on the mic is a nice feature as is the ability to switch between modes. For meetings, the mute button is handy- saves a bit of time. My colleagues have told me that my audio sounds great and the echo that is common from built-in mics used during google meetings is conspicuously absent. I definitely recommend the Senai UCB-4 for someone making short and fun videos using prosumer or pro gear and for for superior audio during video meetings. Not only does this microphone sound great for podcast and voiceover work, I also found myself really pleased with the aesthetics it added to my desk. The sharp design betrays the fact that this is a sub $150 USB microphone and rather appears more like something from the top-shelf of an audio engineer's mic locker. It's ridiculously easy to use; I was able to set it up, plug it in and record within 5 minutes. It was great to switch the polar patterns and go from recording solo narration to wide-field stereo foley work with the press of a button. I've used Senal microphones in the past and the audio here is a natural evolution to the strong quality that I've come to expect. Bigger than imagined and weighty, but this desktop mic does an excellent job of capturing clear diction and rich tonality. It's built like a tank, too. As for all mics, get it with a wind screen for plosives and an isolation mat to ensure that vibrations on the table-top from the computer don't create unwanted noise. To Senal: Nowhere in your literature or on your site are the symbols for the mic's polar patterns explained. Though they are reasonably intuitive to someone who knows what patterns like cardioid mean, the uninitiated would have a hard time parsing the settings on the mic. ... More

No driver needed, plug and works. Didn't try how the different modes, cannot tell from that perspective. Sounds quality is good, convinience to adjust sensitivity and volume. The monitor plug can even used to listen to computer as an output channel. Sound quality is perfect to my ear. (I'm not very picky on that, I mostly use it for zoom meeting now) Only thing really nice to have is if they could add a 3/8 or 1/4 to 5/8 adapter to make that hole more usable. I found that metal frame base (although it's super nice quality) come with is too big on my desk, and block my computer screen. Have to put aside with a tripod something. Luckily I have something support 5/8 screw, but still feel that an 1$ add in in the box (of their cost, I imagine) would be a really big plus for me. ... More

I'm using this USB mike for podcasts and online teaching; it has vastly superior sound quality to the built-in mike on my iMac (which isn't terrible). The switchable sound fields allow it to used in different contexts (one person or multiple people in the same room), and the mute button and separate headphone volume knob make it easy to use. Personally, I would prefer to have the sound-field and gain knobs on the front as well, but that gives the mike a cleaner design and once they are set you don't have to change them very often. During the quarantine I (like many people) have had many online meetings using the Zoom video conferencing product. I've found that this microphone does a fantastic job capturing the audio. And, since I'm at home during the meetings, it's great to be able to have the multi-pattern capabilities. When I'm the only one in a conference call, I can use a focused pattern and not capture the noise in my house. However, when several of us are meeting with family members in other locations, it's great to have the microphone set for omnidirectional pickup.

This is a great mic for getting your ideas down in a hurry without setting up a Mic on a stand and going through all the hassle just to put some quick ideas down. (from a musicians standpoint) I love the high sample rates since my other Mic only does 16bit 44.1 and most of my recordings are at least 24bit 48. It also has a powerful headphone out that gets LOUD it you want. I should of bought two of them.

I got this to make phone calls on a 2019 Mac Pro. It is overkill for that but I am VERY pleased with it. Well made, CLEAR sound, attractive looking (reminds me a little of Johnny Carson's studio desk) and has weight so it will stay put. I made a very good choice.

I purchased this to upgrade my online covid experience. It's very easy to use and has been great in zoom/ online meetings. I also use this to record classical/operatic singing and there hasn't been any issues.

I purchased this mic for two reasons: Do conference calls from home via my computer and for my son's online piano classes. The mic works flawlessly. I'm absolutely thrilled with it. I use it on both Mac and Windows laptops. On both laptops it works without any setup at all: Just plug and play.

For Zoom meetings etc, this microphone meets the needs. I had to set the gain to max so that I could speak without being close to the microphone. Users tell me they hear me fine.

Given that the price of this mic is around $130, I expected a bit better quality. If you are looking for a Blue Yeti-like quality, you may want to look for something better.
