I already own the Sony equivalent of these headphones to monitor on set video production but two things helped me decide to purchase these particular headphones: fabulous price and the ability to swap out the connector cord. The Sony headphones had a coiled cord way too long and it constantly got in my way. These phones come with a supplementary cord that is shorter and not coiled. The sound they produce are fine for monitoring on set live video.

These are decent headphones, sound quality is good for most of the range, however they seriously lack low end, noticeably compared to what is obviously their name-brand counterpart, the MDR-7506. Since they're so ridiculously close in price at MSRP, I'd go with the Sony. If you get these at a great price they are good, but just realize that they do lack low end which could be problematic when mixing.

Great noise isolation and the handy detachable/replaceable cords make it a great investment. Would be great if it also included a protective case.

This will get daily use in my doc film work, post-production, & watching movies on my iPad. I am an instant fan of the short straight cord, the perfect length. The collapsable design was a must-have for camera bags and travel. The ear muffs are comfortable. Overall design is sturdy, and the sound quality is first-rate. It's a knock-out for the price. The inexpensive carrying-case is a must have.

Used mostly at my editing workstation for rough cuts so far; I haven't tried them in the field yet. Very lightweight and comfortable, nice flat frequency response. One co-worker said she could hear sound leaking when room was quiet, but not annoying enough to turn them off.

These are surprisingly solid headphones with good build and comfort. I've used them to monitor on-camera audio during shoots, and editing levels. But I don't recommend them for most music listening due to the limited bass range. When plugged into my smartphone, the connection point was weak and often came off. I wish the cable connection that clips onto the headphones was more universal so I could use other cable brands. Overall a good buy.

I have had these headphones about two weeks and have been quite please with them. There was a flash sale and based on Ken Rockwell's review I bought them, and have been glad I did so. I find these better than the moderate priced Bose headphones which my friends own. I only gave 4 stars because I don't have much experience with headphones, but I can say I have recommended them to family and friends.

I use these headphones for quiet listening from my iPhone and laptop, and also as monitors for my small recording studio. As of this review, I've used them heavily for over a month. These are magnificent headphones with quality construction, and the soft over-ear cups are very comfortable even after an hour of use.

I have both the Sony V6 and MDR 7506. Both are fine, but I actually think the Senal has a slightly greater freq range. I like having the short, non-coil option for the cable. My only slight issue is I wish the cushion was deeper. As it is, it matches the Sony cushion. It does NOT include a pouch like most headphones.

Description and illustrations accurately describe these cans. I purchased this with the intention of doing field recording with a Zoom Hn4. I noted the small addition of lower frequencies to the sound profile that will enable me to identify wind noise. Fold up relatively small, they will be easy to pack. Excellent build quality.

I've been looking for decent pair of headphones that would give me the best bang for my buck, and so far these have been amazing. As described on the packaging, they really do give you a true sound quality, which makes them perfect for music or video production. One of my favorite features about these headphones has to be the detachable twist and lock cables. Can't beat that. So if you are looking for quality and something a little easy on your pockets, I would definitely consider these.

The overall quality is very good. Sound quality and clarity are great - I use primarily for TV. The cable quality is also solid. The only negative is fit. I find the over the ear not actually coving the entire ear (my ears are not really very big, so some people would have even more issue) and the spring tension is on the tight side ( again, my head in not wide at all, so some people would have more vice issue.)

I haven't used the headphones much yet, but they seem to do the job well. Only complaints are the headband puts pressure on the top of my head causing a little soreness and the earpads don't fit tightly. But, sound quality is good.

I use this headset at my computer for producing videos or listening to music selections. It's comfortable and easy to adjust. Also, with the shorter cable it's ideal for use with a portable device especially during air travel. An adaptor for a standard mic connection is included.

I gave this headphone to my brother and he is impressed with the sound. Sound is nice and very comfortable. I will buy another pair once it goes on sale again.

I don't understand all the hype over the sound quality of this product. It doesn't match up to the quality of Sony headphones. The ear cups are small, but that isn't mentioned either.

By no means a technologist but the mid and upper mid range frequencies I find accentuated. Highly beneficial for silent practice (keyboard/guitar/bass), drum machine programming and DAW recording. I can operate with relatively low volumes and minimize fatigue.

Very good all round sound for studio monitors. They'll be a little on the non-bass side if you listen to music with them, but a clear acoustic-like sound. Perfect price for a budget-pro recording kit. Good sound is essential! Cables provided are perfect, the twist lock is a great design note, they also pack up rather well. As a bonus, get the leather carrying pouch too - everything oozes quality.

I got this headphone system for practicing guitar. The sound quality is excellent and the ability to use different cables when using the metronome or the guitar amplifier makes this set a great tool. The comfort is what I expected. After a couple of minutes it seems that I am not wearing them which is great because I can concentrate on practicing.
