I bought these for our company to do at home recorded videos on their laptops with better audio quality than the built in laptop microphone. I just tested it and compared it to the laptop mic and there is a very noticeable increase in quality when using the usb lav. At first it was way too over modulated but then I realized I needed to tweak the mic settings in windows 10. First, plug it in and let it download the drivers automatically. Then, type the word sound in the windows 10 search bar and click sound settings. In there, go to the microphone area and make sure the usb lav is the active one selected. Once it is, click on device properties and in that menu adjust the volume slider until you have a proper microphone level that isn't topping out too much to the right on the sound level bar. I put mine around 40-50 but it depends on how close the mic is to you mouth. ... More

This mic sounds like it is clipping at the actual capsule/diaphram itself. Even if you turn down windows sound levels, you will still hear it. We had a bunch of these for remote moderators to do virtual interviews for a live show. It's easy for plug and play, but once you get dynamics, compression and normalization from Zoom/Skype/Teams, this is unusable for broadcast quality audio since all you hear is clipping. It's probably fine for people watching an instructor on YouTube or people giving presentations on Webex or Zoom. Just doesn't meet the quality standards for professional broadcast/recording. We are planning to replace these with the Sennheiser XS Lapel USB C mic. ... More

The B&H team never disappoints. I needed a wired mic to computer while using AirPods for audio for live national television. It worked great for my needs. Professional/quality sound without having to jump up to the next level of additional equipment. And they helped me figure out how to set it up and make sure it worked the way I needed it, too. I ordered it with expedited shipping which also came right on time.

While probably not the most amazing fidelity you've ever heard, these worked well for us for a handful of remote interviews we needed to do with panelists via live stream due to COVID. We purchased 10 or so, sent them panelists, and they seemed to work out well. Results varied, but mostly due to acoustics in the varies environments in which our participants located themselves

I have tested this mic on my Fedora machine and my ChromeBook laptop. I notice a big improvement in loudness over a phone earbud setup. Only worry is the support looks limited, and the wind shield does not fit securely.

I purchased the mic for my conference/Zoom calls. I found it easy to use and it gives me a great sound. I'd recommend it, especially for the price.

The sound quality of this mic is absolutely terrible. What a waste of money.

These are super simple to use and set up. Just plug and play into your system and designate it in your iOS or Windows system for sound. Inexpensive and high quality.
