We just started using the Blink 500 B2 for our church videos after using a Tascam DR-10L or a condenser mic plugged into our sound system. It's possible we have a defective unit, but we've noticed a significant amount of noise in the recordings, even when only 8' from the receiver. We've tried increasing the volume on the packs & decreasing it in camera as well as the other way around. No matter what, we get enough noise that it just isn't worth it for us. Other than this issue, the audio quality is probably a 4 out of 5, ease of use is 5 out of 5, and features are 5 out of 5. If we can't get a replacement that doesn't have this issue, I'll change my review. ... More

I was very impressed with the performance of the Saramonic Blink 500 B3 Lavalier Mic system for IOS Devices. I was impressed with the effective range, the audio quality, the ease of setup and the plug and play feature without having to download an App. With the iPhone when you plug the receiver into the lighning port it automatically defaults to it when you record videos and or voice memos. This is a must have for journalist. Check out my demo on YouTube. In this demo you will hear the audio quality as well as see and hear the effective range. https://youtu.be/TKU2hmk1A4M I also tested the audio quality of the built in mic in the receiver: https://youtu.be/-xYqlP6yECw ... While recording videos with the Sony A7iii, I found that the built-in mic was inadequate for many situations, so I decided to purchase this microphone. It's quick to set up, easily plugged into my camera, phone, or even laptop. While the built-in mics are ok, if you use the included external mics, you will need to turn down the input on whatever you are recording on, because the output level is strong! Great sound from these, charging is easy with the included usb-c cables. I just wish it had a bit more range.

We needed something better than the noisy built-in mic on my DSLR to start producing online content during the pandemic. This kit was the most budget-friendly one we could find that wasn't a $20 eBay gamble. We've used it numerous time so far and have no complaints and haven't had any problems with the connections. There's a bit of background noise in the recordings but that's more my camera's fault (OMD-EM1) than anything else and it cleans up easily using DaVinci Resolve's auto-voice setting. As this set was for work my wife and I might get our own set for doing YouTube videos from home. ... More

I think we have found our sound solutions for doing video interviews with our iPhones. Very happy with the quality of the product, easy to understand set-up and the quality of the sound on our videos. We have tried a lot of mics, but this is great for the type of videos we do.

I'm a car dealer and I do my own commercials, from start to finish. When I saw the new iPhone 11 with it's upgraded camera, I started searching for an audio system that would allow me to use one simple device, to produce my adds, with voice and video. The Blink 500 fit the bill. Sound quality is great. extremely easy to use and it won't break the bank. Very good value, I highly recommend the Blink 500.

Beyond the strong quality of the devices (well built) and sound input, these mics are extremely easy to use and versatile. You can hook these up to just about anything and receive clear wireless audio. There are no advanced configurations or complicated instructions - simply turn on receiver and transmitter(s), sync transmitter(s) to receiver, set desired input levels (buttons on side) on receiver, plug audio and lavalier cable(s) (or use built-in mic) into your camera and transmitter(s) and viola! The technology is well worth the price.

Multiple YouTube reviews for these were wonderful, but using them was FANTASTIC!!! I mic'd up a farmer about 50 yards from a busy road and the quality was clear with very little noise. The lav's work perfectly, no hassle; turn on the receiver and transmitter, hook up to the camera and shoot. You really can't go wrong for the money.

Need a quick, portable run and gun microphone? I've been using this Saramonic IOS system with an Ipad for nearly a year now..it WORKS! No-fuss or muss takes longer for the iPad to boot up and connect to FB Live Stream than it does to get this system on your talent and begin. Streaming. Just purchased a second unit, the NEW pro version with a headphone jack on a separate receiver to monitor audio in real-time..AWESOME

I was looking for a solution to poor quality returned by Bluetooth audio when doing video work with my iPhone. B&H customer support suggested Saramonic along with several others. This is the best solution for me because it allows wireless 2.4 GHz audio while using my phone on a gimbal. The result is broadcast quality production. I bought a second transmitter so I can use two channels. Fantastic product!

Set-up and operation are a snap. The audio is crystal clear. What a deal in the $400 price range to get two wireless microphones and two Lavalier Mics. Unless you are a hard-core professional and need advanced features, then is no need pay $500-$1000 MORE for a features you may never use if the sound quality is the same.

We were working with another brand, but we had lots of trouble and no confidence in the equipment, but now with the Saramonic, its amazing, we are very happy, the microphone kit is very reliable... The audio is very clear, the ease to set up everything is very good and quick and once you do it, doesnt need to pair the units again; the built-in battery gives 4 hours of operation, wich is enough... You can connect it to your mobile device and Camera... Very recommendable!!!

These come pre paired ready to go. No app. Nothing. Just plug into your phone and record. Super simple. You can use the clips (with built in mic) or attach the lav. Quality is pretty decent. My only problem is that there is no easy way to monitor the audio being recorded on iPhone. So you kind of have to check each clip to make sure it stuck. But once we figured them out, we had no problems. Highly recommend

I like the fact that it can take inputs from 2 people. and the connection is very simple. Audio quality wise when you compare with other systems, I think it is a little poor. But it works great for the application I am using. It is small and elegant and works with the DJI OSMO 3. Once you get used to it, its a piece of cake.

quality wise those are amazing ( and I am old dude who used to be on broadcast uhf systems so I have pretty good competition ). But if you are shopping for it add 50 and get PRO version ( I missed it's there and it have ability to separate ( one mic = one channel ) this is very useful in editing so don't buy this one go for Blink 500 B2 PRO. Again. Quality for the price is mind-blowing !

Went to the store not knowing exactly what would be the best option for me as a beginner in the video making world. The sales person not only explained all options in detail, but also helped me navigate the decision making process weighing pros and cons. This kind of customer service you simply don't get un other places. I am a fan of this store. Also bought my Canon camera here a couple months ago and had the same great experience.

They work just fine so far Haven't tested too much though But you should know that if you use both mics with the receiver they don't go on different channels, but on the same one!

This is an awesome product. I use it for recording videos as well as broadcasting at outdoor events. All you need additionally for that is an adaptor and sound system. As a yoga teacher I need to move around a lot. Hands free and great sound!

This system is relatively inexpensive, but punches above its weight in performance. Setup is not hard, although it would be nice if it had a display like the Rode mics. Then again, that would probably make it more pricey! If you do casual recording, this is a great setup.
