The audio quality of this microphone is incredible. I have used many microphones and this one by far has superb quality. Any problem is with the software. The mic came with Sonar LE (cakewalk) which is a great product but not simple enough for beginners. I ordered the entire microphone package (case, stand, cords, etc) The price with all the extras was still $75 less than anyone else for just the microphone!! ...The sound is clean and perfect for podcasting. We are not for profit and had no problem submitting the tax exempt form. Would definitely do business here again.

This is my first 'serious' mic, after a string of DIY mics, preamps and cables and ongoing noise problems. The C01U's hyper cardoid pattern reduces noise down to a mere whisper, (and could be filtered out digitally) but I won't, so a short phyical move of the PC will will do the job nicely. And it sounds a whole world better than anything I've played with before, I've been wasting my time with DIY mics (with elements that claim the earth), I know where I'll be looking to next time.

Got this mic for podcasting at my work. The recording quality is top notch and is far better than built in mics or cheap plastic ones you can get. Took some playing with to get the setup just right, since depending on the angle you could sound a bit funny. But since getting that worked out it has been smooth sailing. Only negative thing I would say is that the recording level is a bit low and you have to be kinda close to get good levels. No biggy though and I would buy it again.

I had used the prior model for 12 years, but it broke when it dropped on the floor. To replace it I bought a samson desk boom, a Samson spider, and the CO1UPro. This new one is excellent. The only issue is that the headphone cable plug cannot be inserted when the mic is in the spider. Ther center ring of the spider is too close to the input on the mic. Maybe earbuds wouild work? But this would not be an issue if not using the spider - which I now suspect is not essential anyway. Simply attach the mic directly to the boom or use a heavy desk stand. ... More

This bundle comes with almost everything you need for an awesome setup. It has a suspension mount, a small desk stand, all the wires and software with a great USB microphone. And it all comes in a tough metal case. Only thing missing is a pop filter to complete your setup. Easy installation and usability, and all at a great price. Was looking at getting just the microphone, but B&H had the kit at such a great price I had to get it. Really glad I spent the time to come look at B&H's website.

This mic has a warm and full sound, much better than the cheaper mics I have used. Also, because it runs via USB, it sends digital sound directly to the computer, relieving the computer processor and soundcard of need to convert from analog to digital--this can also eliminate some whine or other noise that some sound cards can include in the audio stream. I use this on my laptop running Windows 7 Ultimate, and have also used it on Windows Vista--both found the device fine and worked flawlessly. Excellent product.

I read very good reviews of this mic so I decided to get one. Build quality is good and it comes with a nice metal case. But... It seems like the volume is extremely low. It was almost like the mic wasn't getting power. It worked sometimes, but often it did not. It was not a Windows configuration issue, I am an advanced PC user/developer and tried many things. I have had this mic for over year now and to be honest it is collecting dust.

I ordered the Samsom C01U after my AT2020 started giving me problems. I used the AT2020 for many quality years, but after listening to sound recordings on Youtube, the C01U seems to have a richer sound. I have been very happy with the sound quality it produced. It's truly the best mic I've used yet. And the quality of very good also.

I was looking for a mic that would give a nice rich sound to my voice. I produce TV commercials and radio spots for a living, so I need something that's really good. The Samson C01U doesn't disappoint! It picks up my voice and tone great!

I use this microphone in a High School Broadcasting application to do voice overs for videos. The quality upgrade from the cheesy on board mic is unbelievable. We plugged it in and the Mac found it and was able to use it at once. By installing the included software we were able to tweak the response even more. The only con for me is it is a little tall for the recording isolation box I built to record in. It is a 17 by 17 box with acoustic foam lining it to aid the recording.

This microphone enhances the feminine quality in my voice; I can actually hear the soft, female tones even though I am a woman with more of a lower-end voice. REALLY CLEAR audio and the C01U Pro handles plosives better than any mic I've ever used. I am a Christian podcaster, and God has been good to me with B&H and with this particular microphone. I highly recommend both. God bless y'all.

As someone who does streaming, online reviews, and tutorials; clean audio is very important to the overall quality of my work. This microphone sounds more professional than any other that I've tried, and being USB, I can just plug-and-play and not worry about phantom power or any of that jazz. The base is sturdy and weighty, the shock mount prevents any sort of vibration from distorting the audio, and the pop filter is grade-A. Incredible value for the price.

I needed a good microphone for recording voice tracks which I use for YouTube videos. There was a tiny bit of assembly, mounting it on its desktop stand. It has an insert for threading onto a tripod that can be installed if you need to use it that way. Plug in the USB cable, the green led glows, and you are ready. The C01U is a substantial, solid, well performing piece of gear and does what I need.

I use my mic to record music with my apple i-mac and i'm very happy with the audio quality. The only downside to this mic is that you cant run it through a mixer or regular recording equipment. I am happy with my purchase ...Cheers Mat Tennessee Crider

Well made and easy to use microphone. Sound quality was great at a piano/voice recital I recorded. Only problem I have had is when leaving it on auto adjust, it starts out too loud for the first note or two before adjusting down. Of course manual level control could prevent this. Very good deal and a great mic for the money

I may look like an air traffic controller in a Zoom meeting. I asked friends at the other end of the Zoom meeting about my audio quality, and they said it was good. Convenient that USB is both the connection and power source. The small tripod stand pickups and transfers sound from the table to the microphone (like when I'm typing this). So I put the Mic/tripod on a soft foam pad.

I use this kit for vocal recording in music and it gives a nice and clear sound. It is a little more flat so it can pick up the intricacies of each voice very well. I would recommend for people who want middle of the road on price vs quality.

I am a podcaster that heavily depends on USB Microphones, and I would turn to none other than this. The Pros include superb sound quality, a convenient case to protect the mic, plug and play, and the price. The only thing that to me is not a real problem is the weight of the microphone itself. If I were you, i'd buy this now!

I bought this mike to record a grand piano via Apple's GarageBand. The results have been excellent: good sound level, good frequency response, good pickup pattern (hypercardioid, quiet pre-amp, and nice construction. All of this at a good price. I couldn't be more satisfied.
