The sound quality of these exceeded my expectations. While I was not looking forward to their visual presence on camera, they were actually a bit smaller in real life than in the product photos-which was a huge perk. I had a shoot where I need four people on camera and only had these two mics. I placed each on the table in front of the subjects, spaced between them and the capture was terrific. Of course, with that scenario, ambient noise was more prevalent but the audio was more than usable and crisp. I only wish (at least at the time I purchased these) that they came as a kit with the matching Rode lavs. ... More

Just so you know - I'm not an Audiophile. However, I do budget Beach Weddings and, yesterday it was so windy - I was getting sandblasted in my face. The Microphones were mounted on my homemade podium and, the receiver was plugged into my iPhone. The audio from the Officiant and the wedding couple was pretty darn good so, considering the horrendous conditions and, the fact that I know nothing about audio. To get reasonable quality in this situation - makes me think - The RODE Wireless GO II is one amazing system

I genuinely love these things. The ability to record uncompressed WAV files locally on the recorder without even connecting to the transmitter is incredible. The fact that they can plug into lavs or other 3.5mm mics but also have their own built-in omni mics for emergencies is super useful. Cold shoe mount built into the clip is so clever. Signal is rock solid and never cuts out on me. Make sure you download Rode central to dial in your settings. I suggest putting a healthy pad on these as they do like to clip when at full gain.

This little microphone/transmitter/receiver kit is a great addition to your camera kit, especially if you ever need to record any kind of interview/talking-head piece. The line out on the receiver is great for monitoring your audio or plug it straight into your camera to avoid syncing audio in post. My only real complaint is that adjusting the dB pad from the receiver does not seem to register a difference in the levels readout on the receiver, so you can't really rely on this for accurate level monitoring. I'd recommend setting levels with headphones plugged in before plugging directly into the camera to record. ... More

The product itself looks nice but it's rendered completely useless with the cable interference noise. I have no idea why literally no one mentions this. The included cable is terrible. Even with an expensive sennheiser cable theres noticeable noise. Oh and the box is one of those "once you open its destroyed" designs. Meaning you bet B&H is charging you a restocking fee. Dont believe the hype of influencers. Rode is paying them top dollar.

I'm a performer and content creator who has tried out various microphone set ups, including a variety of wireless ones. Out of all the ones I tried, I would use the Rode Go 1 most often. With the new release of the Rode 2 and the increased features it offers, it has quickly become my favorite. Setup is quick and easy for shows; and for when I'm filming videos the built-in recording feature guarantees I will have great audio. During my shows, having the second mic is also useful for when I bring up other performers and volunteers. At the price point and features offered this is easily the best wireless mic on the market! ... More

Do not get the Kit with the Polsen Mics I tested both mics with a significant hum on the noise floor of each mic. I tested the Rode Wireless Go II system with a Sennheiser ME 2-II and Deity V.Lav with low to no noise floor. Now I'm forced to order the Rode Lav Go mics separate, just to have a complete kit. I only order the Polsen Mics with this unit cause of the lack of stock and desperation of having it come in for a project. Don't make the same mistake I did and order it with the Rode Lavs or purchase or use higher end lavs with the Wireless Go units. ... More

I needed a small set up for talking head interviews and this worked beautifully in both a controlled indoor environment and outdoors. Nice clean sound. Easy to use. Easy to offload. I don't love that you need a proprietary app in order to offload the media, but it does give you some extra control which makes the app more worthwhile. I've used it both with the lav and without, with the deadcat and naked. All with really nice results. It's compact and easy to stick in your bag. If you're like me, and you need something on a budget that will serve well in interview-style and OTF set ups, it's definitely worth the money. ... More

Loving it so far. Very convenient as its barely bigger than a silver dollar. My only gripe about it is sometimes it's hard to tell the difference between the transmitters and receiver when grabbing on the go. Wish they would've changed the color or done something to distinguish it out side of the button on the top. But this is my go to mic set when doing run and gun activity shoots. Works great with my Camera, DSLR and mobile! If you decide to go with this, please make sure to update the software before first use. ... More

I really love this mic & use it a lot. The only knock on this is the DB button where there is only three volume options: low, medium, & high. Even on low, & when the mic clipped to the speaker & at an optimal distance from their mouth, I do have to watch for the clipping. It works really great when you hide it inside the speakers shirt (I uploaded an image). You can't even see it & the audio quality is still good. I wish there was more volume range on the DB button. But overall, I use this a lot & it's worth the buy for me. ... More

Seriously....if you've used the Wireless GO I this is a step up and allows for more features and ways to use it. The audio is great and for the price this unit is a steal. Does it have flaws? Sure, but the flaws are pretty common across all wireless units (drop offs at times, interference, etc...). Unless you're paying $$$$$ for high end professional audio rigs, the flaws are more how you use it and what you expect it to do. I make little to no money on my projects and do them mainly for fun and the RODE Wireless GO II is 100% unbeatable for the price, quality, and features. ... More

This couldn't have been easier to setup and use and my audio was dramatically improved right out of the gate (was previously using a SmartLav+ attached to my phone). I paired it with my SmartLav+ mic and the Rode TRS adapter to conceal it on a subject's lapel and it worked perfectly then recorded through my Sony A7III. One thing to note, it is worth downloading the Rode Central app on your computer and adjusting a few settings before beginning (mainly the always record setting for internal backups and the flag buttons).

These were super easy to use, especially since we are beginners in videography. We needed something that could handle two person interviews, and this proved to be exactly what we needed. Our favorite feature is that we can have a backup recording of everything directly on the device itself! We just had to install Rode Central first in order to turn on that feature. If you are looking for a device that is pretty much plug and play especially for beginners, you can't beat the quality or the price of this set! We HIGHLY recommend them!

I already owned a more expensive Saramonic dual wireless lav system but decided to put that on the shelf in favor of this less expensive set from Rode. The audio from this set is just cleaner and it actually captures LESS background noise and has a quieter noise floor. It makes post-production much simpler. Even when I use the Saramonic lav mics plugged into these Rode transmitters, they sound better than using these same mics in the Saramonic transmitters. My conclusion is that Rode must have some sort of noise filter or noise gate to quiet background noises.

this system works great and comes with everything you need to get going. Sound is great and they're so small and easy to use. My only little annoyance is that I wish the buttons were a little better. Unless I'm doing something wrong it sometimes feels like on of the buttons doesn't always register my pushes. It's kinda inconsistent. But since it's not really something you need to push a lot once it's set up it's not a major issue. Otherwise a very easy and portable way to get great clean sound.

So after doing some homework I went with the rode go 2 wireless lav and the audio I get is great quality. I'm a beginner so of course I looked at the price like wow kind of pricey. I'm now here writing a review so yes I brought and they are worth every penny spent.

Two-head interview with a single receiver going in L/R, what more can you say. This kit has so many perks and advantages over the old Senn G3, I'm not sure what kind of argument you can make for not buying a couple of these. Im still looking for someone to tell me why I should stick with the G3. Like the Senn mics better? Fine, plug them into the GO II. There's just no reason this isn't the new way to go from now on.

We used these for a wedding and they worked better than expected. They're so small that the bride & groom didn't hesitate to wear them. We didn't use the lavaliers and the sound quality was on point. The mic's were hidden, so I was a little concerned about it being muffled. No problem, sound came through nice and clear. Even the pastors voice was clear. The wedding was outside and very little ambient noise. Definitely would purchase again.
