I worked in Broadcast Radio for 8 years and have always been frustrated with podcasting set ups that were either cheap and small and sounded the same or full studio set ups that were expensive, cumbersome, and not at all portable. The RDECaster Pro, gave me the best of both worlds and I could not be happier. Easy to set up, easy to use and easy to travel with. I can't love this set up any more and the build, audio and production quality is also exceptional. Thank you Rode for never settling and or innovating on behalf of us creators. We owe you one for this! ... More

I have tried several USB mixing boards in the past. None of them had the record levels that I needed on my Mac. I was able to load up the intro, ads, and ending into the Jingle pads and used them on the fly while recording the podcast. No editing needed from there. Just had to add the metadata. Best sound and recording levels I have seen since doing podcasts!

I wanted a simple solution for audio with my Sling Studio. The Roadecaster is perfect. Plug and play within five minutes of opening the box. The Podmics work great for a YouTube channel or just podcasting. I like the rejection for use in a not so quiet location. They pair with the Rodecaster and have a warm tone for voice. The podmics are definitely well built. They have some heft and feel solid. If you are looking for an easy fix to your podcasting or YouTube audio look no further. This B&H package is an instant setup for two person broadcast. If you are on the fence just buy it. You won't be sorry. ... More

I started out buying a mixer, mic preamp, headphones amp, Zoom recorder, iRig2 for phone calls. Then I had to get good in post production spending hours cleaning up each episode. This plug-and-play beauty does everything for me. Very little post needed, but still lots of great sound quality options. Compared this to Zoom L8 for weeks. I'm not making any music, so this is better for me. $600 for all-in-one is a great price. Save up and start with this. B&H included MicroSD, wasn't looking forward to taking it out every time. But they upgraded the PC app firmware that transfers recorded files directly now. Way better! ... More

I'm sure you had sticker shock the same as I did when seeing this Rodecaster but, I can assure you that this is worth EVERY penny! I've yet to run into an issue with this product and it's extremely easy to use. There's no need to pretend that you're some sort of tech savvy nerd before purchasing, just open the box and read the single sheet of instructions and you're ready to go. Super, super user friendly! The features alone are worth the price, a full customizable sound board, 4 mic and headphone capability, plus a Bluetooth and phone connection! And it's all a push of a button accessible, like I said before USER friendly! ... More

Rodecaster Pro is a perfect fit for my ensemble audio drama projects. Simple to learn, clean signal, great processing without a bunch of self noise. Myriad processing options especially the de esser sold me because it's critically important for my creative partners to hear REAL TIME what their voices sounds like. This replaced a DBX286s, CL 2 Cloudlifter and behringer HA400 headphone micro amp. I considered another 286 but that would give me only one more channel strip. The Rodecaster Pro gives so much more expansion & creative capacity with 4 XLR inputs, Bluetooth, Phone, Sound effects. Drastically reduces the amount of post ... More

I love everything about this set up and Id like to thank B&H for putting this kit together and making my job easier with one caveat; The Auray SHM-SCM1 has a different sized threaded collar than the Rode Procaster Mics base can fit. In fact if you look on the Auray website and look at the support spreadsheet the Rode Procaster model is not on it. So that makes it a little less than turn key. As for the RodeCaster Pro? Awesome!! Buy it!

I wanted this thing the minute I saw it announced. But I hadn't even started podcasting at that point so decided I would start small with a Zoom H5. Now that recorder is great and I still use it for remote podcasting...but this Rodecaster Pro is INCREDIBLE! It does everything I could ever want and Rode has pushed out a couple of firmware updates that addressed and fixed things folks wanted. Bravo Rode.

Does exactly what it says it does! Great sound quality, and the cell phone mix-minus built in functionality is worth the cost of the unit alone. Looking forward to the firmware update this month for the multi-track recording functionality. Very versatile and well thought out. Thanks Rode!

I'm loving this little board. I'm recording in multitrack mode, but I find myself loving the way the stereo output sounds and not needing the per-channel stems. Phone-ins via Bluetooth is the money feature for me - no need to wrangle dongles and fairly future-proof. Also having a ton of fun with the soundboard pads. The Rode PodMics sound pretty good, although a little essey. My SM7B sings through it. check out the results at teamlunchpod dot com

The ease of use makes this a no-brainer to start a podcast. Most of it is plug and play for those who don't know much about the settings and it has some good features for those who are more advanced and want a deeper dive into the menu. It has all the I/O needed for a typical podcast, I even use the 2 x 1/4 TRS Balanced Monitor Output to send the audio to my switcher for clean audio on the video podcast, this saves me time editing and syncing allowing me to quickly turn around the podcast.

Wow...What can I say? This has to be the best Podcasting piece of equipment I own for Podcasting. Talk about saving time! I am able to get things done in a fraction of the time. Posting or even saving your work is super simple. If you are new to podcasting or have a huge audience, this is for you! Did I mention how good it makes me sound? Incredible and well worth the money. When monitoring audio I noticed an extremely loud noise floor/hissing and humming through the headphones & monitor speakers ... did a search online and people suggest buying a ground loop isolator ... now I'm waiting for it to show up ... the recordings are perfect without unwanted sounds however and it's very easy to use ... i just wish that there wasn't noise in the headphones when trying to listen to ourselves as we are recording. In January of 2020 the newest software/firmware available is 2.0 which is a vast improvement over the original instalment

I love the simple ease of use. It has intuitive controls and was a breeze to set up. One of my main interest was using the phone recording feature. I did have a hiccup getting it to work right with my iPhone - I wasn't using the actual Apple lightning to headphone plug adaptor - and the sound was distorted and very low value. Switched it out and it works great. I've also been using it to record interviews for video clips, but also for zoom calls and such.

I replaced an entire rack of audio equipment with this thing. I love it. It is so easy to use. The reason I bought it is my wife wanted to be able to Podcast without relying on me to work all the tech stuff. The old setup intimidated her so she would not try to record unless I was there to set it all up. She loves this and has recorded without me. If She can work it and get an amazing sound, then anyone can. She hates tech.

Where has this been all my podcasting life?! This is the exact tool I've been searching for to make podcasting a breeze. The ease of which I can use sound pads to play intro/outro music, ads, and other sounds makes it so easy to produce shows on the fly. No more post-production is necessary! And don't get me started on the phone hookup. Being able to do remote interviews on my phone, while I'm still able to use a studio quality mic, just took my show to another level! The best $600 I've invested in years.

Bluetooth connectivity is very good and everything is extremely intuitive to set up, use and adjust. When I tested it out, the person I was on the phone with could even hear each of the sound pad effects in the call, making it so that whoever your guest might be will literally feel like they're right there in the studio with you. I was desiring the right and the best equipment to start my podcast. I had been researching for over a year until I saw a YourTube video for audio editing, and this person was using a device that was beautiful. I researched all of the tools he used and ordered. I have my equipment just shy of all being set up and ready to go. I am impressed with the quality of the products. Very impressed. I wish the mic stands were swinging arms because they fall over with the heavy mics if extended to far. Great products.

Over 50 years in radio and 12 years in talkcasting, podcasting, I've invested in more than a hundred dollars here and there and now I have so much more in professionalism in one quality investment that brings back the good ole radio board days with sliders instead of pots and sound pads instead of cassette cartridges and reel to reel. Hours of podcasting in the past few weeks since it arrived and every use is a new awakening to the convenience and possibilities. Invest in yourself!
