It is a great kit, the boom arm and shock mount alone make it worth the price. The XLR cable is good, I did end up replacing it for a better cable with Neutrik connectors, though. The only weak point in the entire kit is the pop filter. After a couple uses the connection point on the ring clam became loose. There is unfortunately no way to repair it, it looks as if it is pressed in there. I was planning on replacing it anyways, so it is not a big deal.

I'm using this for screencasting coupled with the m-audio mobile pre plugged into a mac pro. With this setup, you want to use the rode studio arm and the PSM1 rode shockmount. Both of these accessories are billed for the rode podcaster. The procaster is in fact the podcaster without the pre-amp, so it works with the podcaster accessories. The whole system works like a charm. I'm very satisfied with the quality of sound coming from the mic........

I have had a Procaster for over a year and love the sound. It is a quality dynamic mic that works well in the online world of podcasts, online presentations, and voice work. I gave mine to someone who needed it and am happy to get another due to it's quality and sound. If I can give one piece of advice to everyone who is working from home, stop using your computer or headset's microphone and buy one that tells everyone you are a professional.

The mic we're fine but the arm is so cheap! I have some broken part after few days of use. Having integrated XLR is an advantage but its also its biggest disadvantage. If you have to break that cable then its a pain to remove it from the arm. I totally regret purchasing this kit. Better buy arm separately. Or get the official arm by Rode. Thanks

Love this Rde Procaster! I had a good Mic prior to without mentioning the name and the brand but I thought I would upgrade after reading many reviews on this Rode Procaster. I have a regular weekly podcast which as of this date I have recorded 78 episodes. I have now recorded the latest two with the new mic and The quality difference is well noticeable! I am very pleased with this purchase and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high grade quality mic for podcasting!

This is a well built microphone that I've been using for several months, sounds great. A bit quiet, using it with at Presonus 1810 interface, the gain is set pretty high, may benefit from a cloudlifter depending on the application.

Buyers remorse. Lacking clarity in the highs. Not so great for voice overs. You get what you paid for. Not necessarily a bad mic but even tho pairing this with good pre amps (sound devices 702) in a decent sound booth, I dont like the bassy aspect and fairly high self noise of the recordings. Its lacking clarity, details and nuances. Bought a Neuman 102 and its night and day.

I was a little worried about spending this much money on a microphone for just narrating use, but this product has exceeded my expectations. I do not have professional grade recording software. I am using Garage Band and Audacity, but the quality of the recordings coming from this mic are amazing. To my ear it is very natural and not colored.

We use this mic in our podcast studio, and after months of debating whether or not to drop some serious cash on some SM7's, we saved a good chunk of change by getting the Procasters instead. Very similar (if not indistinguishable) frequency response, rejection, and tone. Very happy with our purchase!

Perfect pickup range. Smooth natural sound. No need for extra gain on the front end if using the right set-up. Using a Zoom F8 with 8 mics (7 dynamic) and an F control. Plenty of volume! No problem with noise. Setting the high pass between 80--120.

Top tier audio quality. Compatibility with all my equipment. Usage guidelines very clear. Very well made and sturdy. Important to note: Microphone is quite heavy, could cause balance issues for some mic stand setups. Keep this in mind when choosing this microphone.

I use this to record podcasts and as the main mic for webcast recordings. The sound is full and deep - far better than when I was using my RODE NTG-2 Boom mic, or Shure lav. Internal pop shield works to an extent, but I purchased and additional pop shield which cuts 100% of the plosives. A great mic. Articulating arm is solid and a good value.

I love this microphone. While I have only had this mic for 2 weeks now, I love the low ends of it. It puts out a great sound for podcasting which is what I use it for. And it is heavy for a good reason. It feels like quality.

The sound quality blew my mind. I've been using various microphones over the years but these took the cake. Clear, Crisp, professional. Considering what you're paying it's worth it. (plus they just look beautiful...)

My audio had an echo with my AT202 mike, a condenser mike. The Rode Procaster solved the issue and sounds great. Very well built microphone. I am using it for recording videos and it is just the ticket.

I purchased the Rode Procaster along with the Rode PSM1 Shockmount for my congregation at church. Our Minister gets a little animated at times and has a habit of thumping the podium with his palm to make a point. I'm pleased to say this is no longer picked up by the mic.

I was very happy with my purchase until the mic stopped working after a year. It was used occasionally in a computer setup in a home office space for Zoom and Teams meetings. All my equipment is in good shape and everything is working properly except for this mic. I would not recommend it.

Excellent audio production mic for voice work. We're using these for podcasts and have invested in studio quality mics that are twice the price. This package performs just as well and appears to be solid as any of the others. Matched up with the Rodecaster Board, this is a solid 10.
