I bought this microphone for producing high quality audio CDs for a training program. I loved that the microphone is so portable that I can walk and talk while holding it. The only caveat when ordering the microphone is that it is much heavier than I thought it would be. I guess that means it is a very solid quality, but I cannot hold it and speak for a full hour without putting it down a few times. Other than that, it is great.

As a retired author with an interest in podcasting and an earlier career in broadcasting, I am thoroughly impressed with the Rode Podcasters professional sound quality and production ease. A former broadcast professional, like me (1970s network radio) or a retired amateur, like me, will be happy with this microphone. Not really a complaint but this Rode microphone is heavy. Sturdy, but heavy.

I needed a mic to do video audio inside my computer. I got the stand and the shockwave with it. Great set up. I did not know how to put it together, ... Plus the mic has a 10 yr. warranty if you register the product after purchase.

I'm using the Mic for podcasting (as cunningly suggested by the product name). Very pleased with it so far. Using in conjunction with Garageband. Easy to set up, good quality audio produced. Good mic for a newbie podcaster. Only quibbles are that there is no gain control on the mic and no mute button.

I used the Blue Yeti a Logitech mic and a couple of others. This mic is great for use in a regular room. It blocks out all the back noise like a specialized mic that does the same.

I ordered the Rode Podcaster microphone for mainly podcasting and radio interviews to be recorded at home. With the offer of the Kit that B & H offered it just made life easy for me. The mic stand by Auray is excellent, not just good. In fact, it seemed stronger than the Rode mic stand equivalent that I could have bought separately. I am so happy with this purchase and will continue to look to B & H for these kinds of Kits which are well thought out!

Very nice sound. Picks up nearby noises a bit more than I anticipated, but overall a great mic. Works well with Ubuntu Linux 14.04 and also Windows 7. I've also used it in a virtual machine running Windows 7 and it worked well with that setup as well. A bit heavy, but in a high quality feeling way.

Not super impressed with the tone of these things...but pretty nice. As far as cardioid dynamic USB mics go, I kind of prefer the tone of the AT2100 (way cheaper too)
