All you need to do is plug it in and you're good. Have been using it for my zoom calls and coworkers can tell the difference between the microphone and the webcam microphone. Quality at its finest at a reasonable price.

I really like the Rode NT-USB Mini USB Microphone's compact size for use with Zoom and other video calls and it works well. I can put it in my bag and connect to my laptop. The only drawback is that the device does not have a mute button which I prefer than to mute on the video conferencing application.

This is a perfect mic for my home office. I set it up between my two monitors and set a webcam on top of it. It has great sound and worked excellent for a how-to video I put together for my high school video students. RODE has always been an incredible company for our program. They provide great warranties and very good customer service.

I ordered this mic because I was planning to record my podcast, Dirt Nap City (the podcast about interesting dead people) from a remote location away from my studio, but I still wanted good sounding audio. I was not disappointed! It sounds as good as the mic in my studio (which was much more expensive). My only wish is that this mic had both XLR and USB C connectors. Other than that, it's perfect!

I can't say enough good things about this mic. I record talent via QuckTime as he/she sits at my work station narrating on-screen procedures for training videos. Quality is great, and it looks cool if it gets in a wide shot. You won't regret buying this product.

This mic has an amazing tone, it's warm and clear on vocals. There are a few minor things I'd like to see on the next model. Gain nob on the mic, Multi pic up pattern, and Color options. Other than those very minor things this is a sold mic and would recommend it to friends.

I needed a good desktop/tabletop mike to record Podcasts, decided to try the RODE NT-USB Mini USB Microphone and it is perfect for my needs. The vocal recordings sound great, it looks good and I got a great buy at B&H Photo, just wish it had a Gain Control on the unit. Other than that I highly recommend it for Podcasting.

`I use this mic for vocals and it reproduces well. What I hear coming back at me from the speakers is what I hear coming out of my head. The pop filter also works quite well. Having nothing to do with the microphone itself, Im a little disappointed in the 3 leg stand which I use. Its a little small and can tip quite easy if your not careful.

This microphone is almost to sensitive at higher settings, and will pick up your breathing! I need to learn the controls, I'm sure it can be adjusted. It feels solid, the stand is sturdy, the cord is removable for storage. It's a major upgrade to built-in microphones or most headphones. I have used a headphone plugged into the microphone, skipping the headset's mic. That worked well.

I've been using the Rode NT-USB to record my university audio lectures. The students notice the difference. The quality is better than my other podcast setup, and the footprint is substantially less. Setup is quick. It was recognized and interfaces perfectly with Adobe Audition.

I rated the Rode NT-USB Mini microphone which I received by one star. When I writing this review, I see, to the right from stars, it is written I hate it. Well, I do not feel that I hate it. It looks good. It is compact. It is pleasantly heavy. I was able to connect it to the computer. No problems with that. The problem is that the unit which I received - does not work. When I am talking, in the Sound Control Panel, Recording, on the right from this microphone - no bars are moving. Dead. I have a microphone in a webcam. That one is working. When I am talking, in the Sound Control Panel, Recording, the bars on the right from that microphone - are moving! Well, a defective unit of Rode NT-USB Mini I received! A bad unit! ... More

I purchased this mic to do voice overs for a power point slide show I was creating. The sound is great. I strongly suggest you pay attention to your distance from the mic as the best sound seems to be when you are within about 6- 12 inches. I love the performance and would buy it again.

I bought this mic to use for a podcast series I'm working on. It's a great microphone for the price and sounds great. The only drawback is the use of the stand. The table top stand is fine but there isn't flexibility to use a tripod as a stand so you can be on your feet recording. The nut socket is not a standard size. I would recommend it though.

The recording quality of the mic is quite good, and the equipment feels durable and professional, with a small footprint which is good for a home office. The kit has a bit of setup, including the mic stand, with minimal instructions--putting that together was the only small snag.

It sounds okay, but a little more noisy than other options. Based on the reviews and research I had done, I expected a little better. It is not horrible, for the price it is was not bad, but likely would not buy again.

These are by far the best and value flush microphone I have used to date. So rich and clear in sound capture. My production quality has gone up sound wise and I'm glad I made the decision to upgrade to this awesome microphone. The included pop filter is a great bonus. Definitely recommend.
