Used for violin solos and string quartet recordings with XY stereo technique, connected to Zoom H6 so far. Base noise is low, and high frequency pick up is impressive. For the price, it is a great deal. Highly recommended.

Solid construction and excellent pick ups. I am using these mics as overhead mics for my drum kit set up for live performance. Very clean sound reproduction with clear clean pick up. I love using these.

I am delighted with this pair of microphones. I am a professional musician, and I use one for singing/speaking, and the other to record my grand piano. Both work extremely well, far beyond my expectations for the price point.

I tried using a condenser microphone for the first time. Compared to the TASCAM DR-40X's built-in microphone, recording is clearly realistic. It is small and easy to handle.

These matched pair rode m5's are great. Nice sound and a very high quality to price value. If you are not going to spend thousands on a pair of Neumanns , then these are your best bet.

wanted a realistic sound with good stereo imaging. Moved them around a lot until I got a good pick-up from a solo violin with an appropriate amount of room reverb. Would recommend to anyone.
