This unit is awesome! I have a 36-Channel Trident console and did not have the money to add 20 more channels to my UA X16. I came across this unit and was quickly discouraged from getting it by folks at Sweetwater and various online forums. But my desire to fully utilize my desk outweighed the critiques I'd heard and I bought it. I am SO glad I did! Not only are the converters solid, but it integrated FLAWLESSLY with my Apollo X16 and Twin via an aggregate device. These converters sounds good! Yes, UA's converters are better, but really only marginally! I'm glad I didn't let that keep me from making music and using the gear I love. So especially if you are on a budget and need this amount of I/O, absolutely buy one! ... More

Using this unit to record live orchestra with Millennia Media HV-3C pres on an M1 MacBook Air running Big Sur. With a thunderbolt 3 to thunderbolt 2 adapter, things hooked right up and just worked with the most current version of Pro Tools. Headroom seemed good - didn't have any clipping during the biggest bursts of the group. With the small size of the unit and the ability to record to the system drive of the MBA, the ability to record 32 analog channels on the go is awesome. Not to mention cheaper than the UA or Focusrite offerings that had things I didn't need or want. Sonically, things were well developed and clear. If you just need to get a good number of analog inputs into your DAW - this thing is the secret. ... More
