I have a whole box full of nady mic's they all treat me well. I use a 18 bass drum 99% of the time in the studio and my D6 is just to chubby sounding with it I was using an old sm57 which suddenly conked out. Got this one a whim as I have several nady 460's and like them a lot. I leave this kit mic'd up most of the time so need quite a few mic's In my tool box. Am very pleased sounds better than the sm57 in this app. Has a good slap and enough bottom without having to eq some out. Just add a gate and I have a great bass drum sound. ... More

I bought the DM80 to mike my cajons and it works great.Does an excellent job bringing out the bass. I also have a DM 70, which is also an excellent mike. My only complaint is the padding in the case is not formed to hold the DM80, it is designed to hold the smaller DM70.Would highly recommend this mike.

If you're going to sell a product such as the dynamic kick drum microphone you should definitely include links after the purchase. For the different attachments/accessories. Because I wasn't aware at first how the mircophone would be attached to the drum.. I didn't find out until I got it that the attachments cost extra! So like maybe more explanations! I wouldn't have minded paying more, i would've gotten the attachment (either the clip or the mic stand) at the same time I bought the mircophone, if I knew I needed it!

i know this isn't top of the line but as an amateur beginner at recording my drums this mike sounds really good, very happy with it, it does the job well and b&h handled the whole transaction very smoothly. will be purchasing from bh again.

This mic sounds great - I've used it on various amp cabinets (specifically Hammond Tone Cabinet and bass) and it sounds fantastic. Can handle whatever SPL you can throw at it, even sounded surprisingly sweet on close-up dialogue. Very rugged and solid, quality feel and $ performance.

The DM-80 might not be the BEST kick drum microphone out there, but for its price, this mic does the job. I play a 22 x 18 bass drum and the DM-80 picked up all the low humph and the highs of the hit to produce a very rich sound. As good (or better) as any SM-57.

If someone sells this to you for $130 and you know nothing about this mic except just listening to it, you'll buy it. Put the DM-80 in front of a cajon and you'll see. Very full and very rich. I love it.

Small and great sound. I use for cajon and with desk top stand it fits great on cajon. Very reasonable price.

Great price for a decent mic...bad for kick drum, but good for floor tom or other low-pitched instruments. Built ruggedly.

Very good value for the money, that's for sure! I've used it once so far, and it sounds great. I never expected to be able to buy a great sounding bass drum mic for so cheap.
