This product does exactly what it says it does. You can plug up to four guitars into this unit to have them play through the same amp. This comes in handy when you are using multiple guitars on stage and you need to change guitars without having to unplug and then re-plug in. Easy to hook up. No static. No hiss. Signal is as clear as a corded guitar.

I ordered one of these used from Guitar Center. It was very clean and practiclly still in the box, shrink-wrapped etc. The cables that come with it a very cheaply made. The body packs are not very substantial either, especially the 3.5mm input jack. As far as clarity and range, I think it is acceptable for what I paid for the unit. Once I tweaked it to be compatible with my gear, it does the job. If the construction was a little more road worthy, it would be a very nice wireless unit.

I've had this system for about a year...only because I'm too lazy to throw it in the garbage. From the moment I plugged it in, I realized that it killed all of my gain. I called their tech support and they told me there is a capacitor inside the transmitter to reduce noise (and gain, apparently). They said I could clip the capacitor inside the transmitter to try and get the signal strength back. Let me warn u, doing this results in reclaiming about 30% of your gain, but it also doubles the amount of noise transmission. This item may be useful for acoustic guitar, or a clean electric, but for a rock guitarist it is worthless. I'm back to using cables...but my rack space is filled!. ... More

This unit worked well on a couple of channels, but others were hard to squelch adequately, and the problem channels would vary with location. Unless I left the microphones switched-on for the entire time they were in service, a loud white-noise would roar through the speakers from one or more mics. If left the mics switched on, no problem at all... and they sounded good for public speaking. I'm not sure how they would sound for a singer, but they're OK for talking, even loud or passionate talking. The work around (gaff tape to keep the switches on) can solve the intermittent problem, but the real issue is that each mic and receiver is set permanently to a specific frequency and I found no way to tune the pairs to other frequencies. ... this is a great unit that does not require a mixing board or phantom power to hook up to a DSLR

Really like it so far. Time will tell on the lifetime of the 9v batteries.
