This a very good large diaphragm condenser mic. Works well on many sources. A good preamp and high quality cable will make it perform at it's best. Pretty hard to beat this good looking condenser mic considering the sub $ price tag. No, it's not a Neumann but try it on different sources and I have no doubt that this mic will find a spot in your mic cabinet. Treat it gently and it should perform well for many years.

I got this condenser mic for recording vocal tracks. I was truly blown away with the quality. This mic made my recordings actually sound proffesional - I would buy this mic again over a comperable $condenser mic. It also works really well recording guitars, woodwinds, other instruments, and being part of my setup for recording a drum set. This mic rocks.

It's an amazing and versatile microphone for both the professional and home recording enthusiast. It's hard to believe that one can get such a quality condenser microphone at the price this goes for. I love what it does for vocals, and the dual capsule capability is a plus. I have had the pleasure of recording with much more expensive microphones that were in the lockers of studios where I have recorded in the past, but the V67i truly can hold it's own against many of them.

This mic is a really great one for all uses. After spending a lot of money on other mics and not getting the top notch quality I wanted a friend suggested this one to me. I am 100% happy with the results this mic gives. It is great for just about any type of recording and the quality really is the best I've ever experienced. Plus the price is far less than most others out there and it is built very well. A no-brainer if you need a great mic for a low price!

I have a little home studio which I like to play with once in a while and make some tunes; and, have decided to upgrade my Radio shack dynamic mic. This is my first descent mic so I don't know a great deal. Seems to work very nice with 48v phantom power (required). It picks up very small noises which I like and some I could do without (fans in my PA amp and PC. But I wanted a powerful mic so I could hear exactly what I'm singing (or trying to sing).

I use this mic for recording home studio vocals. In the past I've recorded in some high end studios and whereas this isn't a top of the line mic even a few years ago you'd have had to pay over $1k for a mic of this quality. Does a great job, good responses to correct vocal technique. Clean signal quality into your recorder is crucial to getting a good recording and this mic with a quality cable is clean.

I've had the V67G for about 2 weeks now. It seems great for vocals, it's performed ok for acoustic guitar. It's hard to get volume without cranking the initial gain until there's lots of noise. But then if I turn the gain down and move in closer to the mic, then I'm dealing with proximity effect. That's something I still need to play around with to find the right balance. Same goes for using it with guitar. Many have said they get great guitar tracks with this mic - I'm still trying to figure out the best placement for it to get that great of a recording. ... More

I saw someone use this actually hand held in a podcast setting, and I was really impressed with the quality of the sound. The mic is really cute color-wise and has incredible sound quality. I am not hard on my P's or S's, so i didnt need an windscreen or pop-filter at all. This is a great little mic.

The V67G is a good buy for anyone who wants an inexpensive condenser in their home studio. It's built like a tank, sounds good stock, and can be modded to your heart's content with information available on the net.

It is surprising how this little piece of gear takes down so many other microphones. I have heard over 100 budget microphones but non sounds as musical as this microphone. I'm quite pleased with my purchase and recommend this item for anyone who intends to purchase a mic in this range. Sound wise it takes down my NT1a.

I bought a Tascam DP-24SD reorder and I bought a DVD tutorial on how to use it. The British guy on the DVD highly recommended the V67G. He's right, it's awesome.

Great sound, not that heavy. MXL is a great make. To top it off, has a great look (Gold & Green). It stands out which I like

I use this microphone for vocal recording mostly and the recordings have turned out nice and clean, given the price range. I haven't had any complaints about it so far, although it is a bit heavier than I expected so get a sturdy microphone stand. Overall, I've been very pleased with it.

I made test recordings comparing these microphones to AKG C414 mics and they held up very well. The sound on vocals and acoustic guitar is nice and full, with no coloration. they are quiet and have more gain than the AKG mics, I had to turn the gain down on my mixer.

I really love this mic... Beautiful highs, warm sound ...We bought a TASCAM portastudio and in the training video the instructor was singing the praises of this mic. I reseached it and found that it was considered the best mic under $100

This mic is absolutely fantastic! I have a Presonous AudioBox. It works EXTREMELY well with this audio interface. EXTREMELY smooth silky sound. I do all my vocals with this mic.

This microphone is something that will likely grow with me as my recording skills improve. I set this up with an USB audio interface. It's surprisingly versatile. It manages to pick up pretty level sounding highs from my acoustic instruments for being a large diaphragm and is still pretty warm in the mids for vocals. Nothing overly colorful about it, which is fantastic for my use.

Is there a difference between this and a 5k mic... yep but 99% cant tell the difference. Buy it. Plus it's cool to look at :-)

I am so impressed with this mic. It has a warm, rich sound, and sounds as good if not better than expensive mics like the AKGs. I recommend this mic in a heartbeat. Well made and sturdy. I bought the shock mount to go with it and immediately started recording vocals.
