This is the center of my touring/hotel studio. Great size, super easy to use, cuefx software is great, and most importantly, sound quality is fantastic. The one thing is the firewire 800 port (running fw400) is just not physically secure enough. The slightest touch will break the connection and you will have to power cycle the interface. Even plugging an instrument into the front of the interface will jiggle the connection and break the connection. Very frustrating but has never happened while actually recording. That is literally the only thing I don't like. Everything else is fantastic.

Had no problems with Protools 10 and Mountain Lion setup. Sounds great. Using it with FCP and other apps too. Breakout cable is pretty stiff and solid. Actual main box is lighter and can move around if you don't have the cable in a good position or tied down. Also the little sticky feet that come with it fall off. I would have preferred solid rubber backing or better feet. Still, I'm happy I bought it. 1 Star off for cheapish feet!

For a minimal home studio this is a very nice interface. I have used an 828mkii for years & needed to get into something with USB. This has it all - USB/Firewire - ability to expand via optical. Pros-good clean sound, easy to setup& use - MADE IN USA Cons-only 4 analog outs (not including headphones)

Fantastic interface, great sounding mic preamps and the built in CueMix sounds fantastic, especially with guitar input.
