So I bought two of these to pair up and yes, they come with the rack ears to do so. I logged into their site, downloaded the latest Windows 7 Driver, and Bang! They work like a dream! MIDI In or Out, they work without ANY channel problems. I'm using Ableton Live 8, FL Studio 9, and Reason 4. I'm also using a Casio CDP-100 for my MIDI Keyboard because I don't really need 500 buttons and the key action is real! I'm also driving various MIDI drum and sound modules on several channels at once. Great product MOTU!!! The Cakewalk Units aren't bad either, but no rack ears on their bigger rig. Stay clear of the M-Audio MIDIsport. The MOTU is the one to buy. MIDI on my friends! ... More

The MOTU Micro UBS was good enough for me. I had some initial problems getting Vista to find the drivers. I had to open up the driver folder and opened the driver software as "adminstrator". The driver software began to run, and Vista intstalled the drivers. I have 4 midi sound modules and the Motu works just fine. No problems so far. Great midi interface for the price.

Plug it in to your computer, download the drivers and done. Works with several OS versions of Windows if not all of them. USB compliant so no hassles. I use it mostly for midi editors for several midi machines, midi foot controllers, synths, effect processors, and drum machines I own. Several of which are older products and were difficult to set up or did not work at all with most of the single USB midi interfaces. This does them all. Having 5 midi in/outs is great if you are using it to program midi commands between multiple editors and machines.

Had an M-Audio MIDIsport 2x2...whereas it always worked fine for keyboards, I found a mysterious problem generated with Roland V-Drums where ridiculous long latency problems would come and go. This unit not only gave me 3 more ports, but so far I have yet to experience any latency issues with the drums- bravo

I use this to make program changes to five synths in a live gig. I works exactly like you would expect. The only improvement would be a way to put it into a full rack space. It only has brackets for a 1/2 rack space.

Very simple, yet super efficient and versatile. No power supply necessary, power comes from the USB connection, which is a big plus. 4 ins and outs 5 pin MIDI in the back are more than enough for my vintage synths and one in front, makes it very convenient in case someone come over my studio with an 88 key keyboard and wants to connect. Fast, tight, easy to use and the front panel is very informative about all your MIDI routing and info. I love it and the price is perfect!!!

Easy to setup and configure. The software download takes care of everything. This device recognizes all of my keyboards and other midi inputs, and it works well with my DAWs. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants discrete control of multiple synths without the problems associated with daisy-chaining the midi in/out/thru signals.

I've long wanted to pick up some MOTU gear after e-stalking Amon Tobin's studio by way of an old Sound on Sound article. Suffice it to say, they make solid equipment. This interface is bulletproof and dead-simple to use, particularly with Ableton Live. My only gripe, and this is a minor one - it doesn't work with my Raspberry Pi. Oh well.

My MOTU XT midi interface was acting flaky after many years of service. Since I only have 4 midi sound modules, I decided to downsize. The Micro not only stabilized my setup but Digital Performer seems to be snappier.

I use this with Ableton Live on a MacBook Pro to send and receive MIDI to/from a keyboard, foot control board, Roland VG-99 guitar system, a VoiceLive2, and a Roland digital drum kit. Also to a MIDI sound unit for a click track. So far it is working perfectly. Had to install drivers that came with it on the MBP which went smooth. Fit nicely into a rack.

I integrated my MOTU Micro-lite in my home studio to do demo development. Having had MOTU equipment in the past I expected that the system would behave similarly, and I was right. The unit is simple, easy to interface, and operates as advertised.

I really like the simplicity of the Micro Lite...you plug it in, and it just works! The drivers work great for Win 7 or Win 10 pro (the two versions i have used). A must have for keyboard and effects that still use the old school midi interface to connect.

Perfect addition for anyone looking to add extra midi instruments to their set up. I have used this to add 4 synths externally to my DAW and it is perfect for my needs 5 ins and outs and you can use more than one of these at a time if you need to.

Does what is expected of it. Trouble-free. Easy set-up, and nice to match along an ultra lite, if you have one of those.

This is the gold standard for midi interfaces, period. The only con is that I wish it had two more ports on the front, as there is space unused. Other than that, it is fantastic and simple.
