I bought this item with strong expectations and high optimism! I was so ready to plug n play until the package came with a CD that required you to install the MIDI program before you could do anything. I out the CD in and turns out this thing isn't compatible with Windows 8....sucks! So if you have Windows 8 please don't buy this product. It's just a waste of money, time, and space that cannot be returned. If you have a system under Windows 8, good for you. I'm sure it will work just fine!

I was concerned after ordering (and then reading reviews) that this might not work with my Yamaha keyboard (PSR 300M) but installation for me was Plug and Play. I am using it with eMedia teaching program and have had no problems.

I am using this product to link a CME UF8 keyboard to OSX Lion. Previously the USB interface on the CME worked with snow leopard but not with lion. There was no install necessary I plugged it in and it works with the core Midi drivers from Lion. It is fast with no noticeable delays and works well even with the control surface events. This product allowed me to upgrade my music station to Lion.

i want to record my playings of ROLAND SPD 30 OCTOPAD onto my MACbook garageband while playing. Can this cable be used to record audio signals from octopad spd 30 to garageband while playing? Please let me know as the simple USB to USB from octopad to laptop isn't working as it does not recognize the audio signals.

I produce music on a macbook pro, on a daily basis I frequent 3 work locations, which means I need to be able to move my gear easily. This product allows me to do this, and because it works will all of my DAW's it has proven quite convenient already after only a week or two.

If you need USB midi, you can't get it any easier than this. Just load in the driver and you are off and running. The midi end is nicely labled (TO MIDI IN,TO MIDI OUT. I own three.

The Uno is a great interface for sending/receiving data to PC & Apple computers. I use it all the time for sysex dumps, or to check the transmit/receive data of keyboards that had been recently repaired.

Been using this for over a year with no faults. It just chugs along. Never misses a beat. never locks up. never slows down even under demanding conditions. Works with Snow Leopard, Lion, and Mountain Lion without a hitch.

Nowhere in the description does M-Audio mention the problems they are having with new operating systems. Until they fix the firmware of this product, this is incompatible with Mavericks. If you are running any other operating system, I'm sure this would work.

This MIDI interface saves you from having to buy seperate input and output cords. The unit indicates what configuration it is in with display lights. Just plug it in to your keyboard and a USB port and you are ready to go. Easy, simple and effective.

Works just fine. Sometimes I have to work with the midi utility on my Mac to get it going. Once it begins I have no problems.

This replaced a cable that would play an E when the sustain pedal was used. Since switching to M-Audio's cable, we have not had any problems.
