This is really good, for a beginner artist. But the only bad thing about it, is the headphones. My pair of headphones broke after the first day of using it. So I would suggest buying a separate pair of studio headphones.

I use the product to play the beats I've created. It's also great at catching sound from my raps to my vocals.

I am just getting started. I installed this as well as Reaper, and Bias FX 2. Followed the instructions from FocusRite and went to internet as well. I did not use the Protools or Ableton. I am still in the learning phase. My computer is a Dell with an i3 processor and a standard hard drive. The hard drive can interfere with the audio. I moved the input to the rear of the computer and it eliminated a lot of "popping" induced by the spinning HDD. I would recommend a better processor and a solid state drive to try. I am enjoying it, and my improvement in playing guitar is audible. ... More

I've been a fan of focusrite products for years now and just recently upgraded to the 3rd generation package. The mic is solid and very clear especially for someone just beginning to record music. The interface is powerful and small enough to move around too. It's a great setup especially if you're mobile with your setup. It's easy to set up, you just plug it in and go. I cant say much about the headphones since I haven't acquired them yet but it's a really solid setup.

Exactly what I was looking for, a simple entry level setup to learn how to record at home. And that’s exactly what I got. Perfect for singer/songwriters looking to record vocals and instrument. For this price I’m extremely happy with what I got. It’s super easy to setup both the hardware and software. The online setup tutorial walks you through every step and has you recording in no time. Hardware is great quality and simple to use as can be. I highly recommend Focusrite products.

The item is great. Easy to use and the whole tutorial process was clear and easy. The device provides a link on how to use the device, including how to use it with Ableton or any recording software you have. Nice design and nice sound.

New to recording, easy to set up and use. Just make sure you have the right sized adapter for standard American booms to use the provided mic equipment (was either a 5/8 to 1/4 or 5/8 to 3/8 adapter that was needed).
