As soon as I plugged it in I started kicking myself for not buying one sooner. It's so quiet and sounds twice as good as my ART USB Pre (worst) and my Zoom Handy Interface (better but still noisy).

For its price it's a great sounding item you must choose. Used by many popular artists such as Periphery and others, i enjoyed working with it so far, intuitive interface and just a joy to listen to.

Nice clean signal into computer. Like others have noted the preamps are a bit weak and you have to download the software. Not a big issue though. Good value for the buck.

As noted in other reviews works with iPad tho with my iPad Pro 12.9" it needed the powered USB connector (which takes lightning & USB in).

I upgraded to this from the solo and I’m very pleased. More outputs, balanced connections, separate headphone volume level with a switch between 1/2 and 3/4. Awesome piece of hardware!!

The 2nd generation is Class Compliant so it works with iPad and GarageBand. All you need is an Apple Lightning to USB Camera adapter. Very impressed so far with the product.

I decided the 2i4 was worth the extra cost compared to a 2i2 since it adds MIDI inputs and a knob to control the direct monitor mix rather than a button. Has worked great so far. No complaints.

I loved my 2i2 and this is even better. More audio outs and more importantly it let me integrate MIDI devices into my setup more easily.

It does everything I need for home studio recording. I purposely bought the second generation because the new, third-generation version has software controls instead of physical switches on the front.

Good value - does the job nicely, with not much noise. Hooked it up to a microphone to get nice recordings on my mac. Set up was easy and straightforward under OSX Yosemite.

Best smaller interface on the market, 2 great Focusrite preamps, MIDI in/out, and runs off of USB power! Can't recommend enough
