This audio interface surpassed my expectations and its so small and compact you can take it with you anywhere. It took my vocals to the next level and the price is amazing. I have been to B&H in New York when I lived there and they are a top notch business and the store is amazing. They know their stuff and their staff is so knowledgable. They sell nothing but the best and their service is top notch. As for the interface it will make your vocals sound even better and smoother than ever. I even have my Harmon Karman Soundsticks III I got from them and they are amazing when you plug them into this device at the same time so you can check back your recordings after laying down a vocal track or a guitar track or whatever you can use to connect to this on top of an IPAD which i will be using next as I am learning to use garageband on my laptop my iPad will be next with this track solo but in the meantime its doing great with my 13 Macbook Pro Retina for Home studio music production. Top notch product for great price. I love this thing! ... More

Got this for my 15 y/o daughter. She plays guitar and writes her own songs and was wanting to record her music to start up a YouTube channel. I spoke with a B&H tech and they gave me several recommendations, some were less expensive but this had guitar and voice both covered in one. I paired this with the MXL 770 microphone and got a mic stand and pop filter. I set it up and we surprised her with it when she got home and she cried. Then she did a quick recording with it in Garage Band of one of her songs. When we played it back, I cried. I couldn't be happier with the ease of use (as the household tech support guy) and with the quality and ease of use. You won't be sorry. ... More

I am using the iTrack Solo Lightning to get high quality audio into my iPhone 8+ while I video myself playing my Roland electronic drums. I take the mono analog output of the Roland drums, which is a mix of prerecorded music with my drumming or just the drums alone. This way I can see how I play to improve my drumming. I am using the Moviepro app which gives me lots of setting options for video and audio. This is my first Focusrite product purchase, it's well designed and engineered, very solid construction. I highly recommend this product! ... More

The iTrack Solo Audio Interface is the key to my voice training system for connecting my CD Recorder and condenser microphone through my Desktop PC USB port with +48V Phamtom power. Although, diminutive in size its performance exceeded my expectations. It is extremely easy to use and monitor. Basically, it just sits there and does the job it was designed to do. I experienced some problems with the initial setup through the USB 2.0 port. A call to Focusrite technical support solved the problem by patiently talking me through the set up procedure. Cudos for the their tech staff.

As the next step to being able to do all your audio production on an i-Pad, the i-Track Solo is the start of the evolution. You get Focusrite pre-amp quality to drive the best microphones into your i-Pad or i-Phone for true recording quality using Garage Band, Twisted Wave, and a host of other iOS recording apps. Its the same audio quality as the very popular Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 with the ability to go iOS. its only out of the box deficit is the short iOS cable. Focusrite makes a longer one which you can purchase. Although I see they are offering it free when you register the product. ... More

I really like this little box. I'm recording acoustic guitar to iOS/GarageBand. I had tried a USB mic (Blue Spark) but the Focusrite allows me to use a real XLR mic (old, middling AKG SE 5E-10) which sounds much clearer. Agreed that the short cable can be awkward for some situations, but works fine on a table top with an iPhone for me. Requires USB power, which could limit it's portability, but again, not a problem for my situation. But I can't complain because this fills such a valuable niche--getting good mics into iOS.

I just needed an interface to plug in a pretty good quality mic to record voice overs. iTrack solo plugs right into my pc (windows 8.1) via USB. It was plug and play really. Adobe Audition recognized it right away.Keep in mind, in terms of outputs, this interface only has RCA and a 1/4 headphone jack. So if you intend to run monitors out of this baby, you'll have to select accordingly. From time to time my computer doesn't recognize the line in, so I just have to unplug and re-plug the USB (effectively restarting) and then it's all good to go.Good sound quality! ... I am using this to record guitar and vocals in GarageBand. It is compact and lightweight and yet feels like higher end quality. It is ultra simple to use and the circuits are very quiet. Shame about the short cable to connect to the iPad. That makes a great product hard to use. Thus minus one star. Customer Support were helpful when I had some connectivity questions..... But not very prompt via the online query system - 3 days to respond.

I only had the focusrite for 1 day and then I spilled water all over my laptop and wasn't able to use it anymore but, I did enjoyed it while it last. NowI'm saving up for a new laptop I use the focusrite on my phone but I don't believe it's the same thing as a laptop. There's a big difference. I would really recommend this item for someone who is just begging to record and is looking for a simple and effective interface and for the price you just can't beat it

my first edition mBox wasn't compatable with my new macbook pro, so a sound technician recommended the focusrite iTrack. it's perfect for my home studio recording setup. easy to set up and easier to use, green/red level reading that's easy to see, all in a clean, small box that fits on my work table.

I used this with my Mac. It was easy to use and the quality was great (I used it with Garage Band). I wish it was able to plug in more than one mic, but besides that, this is a great investment for those solo artists who just need one mic and guitar plug in.

Good interface ... just make sure you get the right one ... in order for the Focusrite iTrack Solo to work with a newer iPad like mine you will either have to buy the Focusrite iTrack Solo Lightning or do what I had to and buy the Apple Lightning to 30 pin adapter cable also. That's another $.

I use the Focusrite to input guitar parts into Garage Band on my IPad. It does exactly what I hoped it would. It doesn't replace a more advanced multitrack interface, but does a great job on the IPad. I'm going to try it on my PC platform.

So far I love it... it's easy to use, plug and play, haven't been able to do a lot yet, but I can tell you I found no latency and the quality is perfect. Can't wait to put more time in it and I definitely want to try recording some double tracked guitar.

I have been using apogee one for a few years and decided to try this lil unit. It is clean and warm and nice that works directly with logic with no extra software required. love the front panel volume control for each channel. Maybe not as much gain as apogee, but i actually like the warmth more
