Decent budget setup but has some issues

We bought this to simultaneously record two speakers in a lecture series, and while it would be great for a limited budget in a more controlled audio environment, we have had issues. The audio drops out during recording and we haven't been able to find a cause. RF signal is good while the audio level is 0, but turning the receiver on and off solves the issue. Also, I'd highly recommend buying a battery charge checker, because the battery indicators on the units only read 2/3 when the battery is fully charged. Lithium batteries seem to work better, and are lighter for the transmitters. Also, the battery doors are filmsy and difficult to close and will no doubt break in the future. On a rather picky note, the transmitters and receiver won't fit into the case with mics and cables attached, so the units need to be disassembled each time to fit back into the case. Not useful when you're tight on time. I've removed the case insert and just replaced it with foam so I'm not constantly unplugging and reconnecting the system. When the receiver works, the audio quality is very good, but since the system has been unreliable - if you don't have the option of recording pick-ups and your budget allows - and I'd recommend a more expensive system. ... I bought this at the same time I bought the Tascam DR-60DmkII. I wish I could remember the name of the salesperson who helped me because he did a terrific job in guiding me towards these two products. I come from a professional television background, Im a retired Director of Photography/Director. While I didnt do audio I knew the mics we used cost at least $600 dollars each, some touching 2K. This wireless lav cost me $189! I wasnt expecting too much and was more than pleasantly surprised on my first test playback. The sound is excellent. $600 dollar excellent? No - but close enough. Sound is smooth and clear and with 48 channels to choose from I doubt interference will ever be an issue. Almost good, yet...

It's dissapointing. Even at very close range (see here 3 meters), dropouts are frequent enough to be a problem. Also, for whatever reason, as much as I tried searching for it in the menus, you cannot adjust the gain on the beltpacks! This makes it so that the mics clip very frequently if they are placed too close (see here in a normal place for a lavalier) on people who speak slightly louder than the average. The solution could be to put it further away, but then you're catching more ambient noise and it's not better! You do have a gain on the dual receiver, but it's the beltpacks that are clipping, so it's not of much use... But on the positive side now. The battery life is excellent, and the units are quite light, which is good if you need to hang it from something like a bra strap The included wind screen also blocks wind quite well. But overall, the first issues discussed are kind of deal breakers for me since it leaves me with a clipping, dropping out lav set. ... More

I bought the duel because I have the single wireless mic same kind as the dual and I like it a lot so now I have three wireless mic that I can work with if I had it to do over again I would have got the Dual first that way I would had four mic's. I have not worked with the system on a job yet but I did put it all together and I like it very much and happy with the way it working for me, the video camera that I have will handle the two systems, But I think I may get another video camera so I can switch back-and-forth from each camera on interviews and still have great sound. For the quality and the price of the system is well worth the money!! ... More
Exceptional value and quality

I need a couple of low-cost backup wireless mics for a project. They have turned out to be really good mics. Comes in a protective carry case with impact storage cutouts. Works well with one dual-channel receiver on the camera for two separate transmitters. The receiver and transmitters are powered by AA batteries or a USB power source. The bodies are plastic, so not as robust as my Sennheiser's, but the total cost of the whole system was only ably 25% the cost of one Senn body pack. The battery cover is a little tricky to lock in place, but I discovered that you have to press and slide for it to lock into place. Other than these minor points, I highly recommend this for a low-cost high-quality sound with very good digital cannel selection avoiding any interference or dropouts. ... More

The Comica CVM -WM 100 Plus 2 is great value for money. Highly impressed with the audio quality, yes the build quality is light weight but works perfectly even after pushing the system to 80 meters for a 2 presenter set up. The added advantage is the ability to accept a line input from an external audio mixer. I got to record a number of programmes with same set of batteries, What a life saver. I would easily recommend this system to fellow producers. The wide range of channels to choose from are advantageous especially when other broadcasters were also on location. Bad Choice that cost me thousands

I'm so disappointed in this set. I purchased them through BH about a year ago and for the price point I really expected them to be better than my $60 Amazon set. They are NOT. When they work they produced amazing audio quality that is warm and crisp. However they have a way of cutting out at the worst point in time. These things constantly cut in and out literally at the worst points consistently ruining very important shoots. I've had to reshoot quite a few videos that ended up costing me a few thousand due to the lack of QA in this product. We do outdoor video usually out in the woods. Well the last wireless Mike set we had was good but had some drawbacks. The Sampson used 9 volt batteries and the clips inside the receiver and transmitter would break off and had to be repaired to be used. I am very hard on equipment especially that attached to my person. Well the wireless Mike was lost in quicksand. Yes, quicksand So I found this one on line. We purchased this system for a series of video interviews and it worked flawlessly. The signal is clean and strong even when the subject moves around, no clipping whatsoever. Would definitely recommend.

Our summer youth media camp is on a limited budget. We could not afford the $600wireless microphones recommended by one of our teachers. This recommendation from our BandH rep is working great! We used the mikes during a recent on-set shoot.

The Comica Audio CVM-WM100 PLUS microphone system was the perfect addition to my audio video equipment. As a beginner wedding videographer, this solved my concerns with getting clear sound for multiple people. Very easy to operate along with a favorable price point for my budget, I am definitely going to recommend this product to others.

Purchased and used for small event. Receiver and Transmitter were 20 feet apart. Lost connection after 20 minutes. Tried changing channels 3 times. Must have been interference. Not way to judge strongest channel. Nice case to hold good accessories. Returned for refund. Must spend more money to get reliability.

So I've had it for a few weeks now and at first I was having issues getting it to connect but have since made a few videos and it's perfect for what I do which is a few small videos a week at close range. Great quality audio for the money. Not a huge fan of the screw in connection he quality could be a little better but everything else is on point for the price.

This setup is decent for the money but I would recommend a dual channel receiver if you need to have separate audio channels. I tried to split the audio with a stereo mini to dual XLR but it did not do the trick. The quality of the audio is ok, though not nearly as good as an Azden unit I have. Of course, that one is more than twice the money.

For the price the mic sounds pretty good, I like that you can change out XLR to 3.5 with a locking connection. But the range is not long enough, they say 300 feet, but that is with no one i between the receiver, I bought this for mic'ed up for a football player. Sounds great but cut in and out when the player was only 30-40 feet away. The range is the reason I chose this mic. Other than very iffy range, it's a solid mic good if you are not going far distances.

I contacted Comica they said that this is normal. And to not use the wireless mic near other wireless mics and to turn off wifi and blue tooth in the vicinity. Ridiculous. I have other wireless mics that work perfectly in the same envrionment. Audio drop out is unacceptable. What are you supposed to tell your client, sorry the mic cut out because of audio interference? This company is a joke.

Great dual-mic kit. Simple controls. Although the mics themselves seemed a little sensitive...they still picked up some background noise.

It worked fine. Not only was the pick-up range good, but I also had plenty of AA battery juice left. I could not mount it on my camcorder so I used industrial velcro. Great buy.
