I record voice overs and gameplay with commentary and by far this is the best mic I have used. I am not picky when it comes to quality but I would prefer to hear the details in one's voice, though if I can get any recording I will use it. But this microphone picks up any possible detail in a voice wanted. It's sharp yet smooth and very clear. I'm in a small, desktop environment and I was afraid of size when I first saw it. It didn't look too large but I was unsure. When I got the package (let me also tell you I got it one day earlier than originally estimated), I opened it and was surprised by it's build quality. While I have no other microphone bodies to compare with I am familiar with DSLRs' builds (with some I don't like). This felt like quiet a sturdy microphone; but sadly, the same can't be said for it's tripod. I am very pleased it comes with a tripod at all. It's not BAD per se, but it feels very plasticy compared to the microphone and it's place where it holds the microphone feels less than secure (in that it could fall over). I still will give it a 5/5 for great sound and a working tripod and holder. ... More

Although the audio quality seems to be good for this price, there are two things that may cause me to return it. 1. There is a bright blue led on the front of the mike; it is a steady blue until you begin to use it, then it blinks... and blinks.. and blinks. Not in time to what you are actually saying - it just blinks. What an annoying feature! It is distracting, and after checking with C AD, there is not way to turn it off. And it is so bright... ! To even try using it I put a couple of stickers on.. yes, it needs a couple because it does shine through only one. Wow... and here's what it looks like. 2. The mount is awkward... maybe it's just me. And the tripod that comes with it... takes up a major amount of desk space. Yes, in some ways it's nit picky, but does affect how I use it, and having to make some adjustments so it's more livable. ... More

I bought this microphone almost 8 years ago and I still use it to this day. It has been a great microphone for beginners and first time users with microphones. Its very durable, my microphone has been knocked around a bunch over the years and still preforms well. However its not perfect, there is a lot of white noise depending on your settings, and its best to have the microphone closer otherwise there is to much reverb. Its a good mic for the price.

Great concept. Just didn't deliver on performance. It produced a high pitch crackle no matter what setting. Have been working with audio since the 60s and this baffled me. B&H was great on return process and exchange for better product.

I use this product to produce a live audio stream radio show. I like the low price, and it comes with a good stand and 10 feet of USB cable that plugs into the bottom of the mic on the stand and then plugs directly into your USB port and in Windows 7, it was up and running before I had a chance to realize it. that fast. Sound; the sound quality is best when setting the top switch to -10 DB and this makes for better sound. What's not to like?

Good price. Hooked it up my laptop and the sound pickup is incredible. I could hear myself whisper from across the room. There was a bit of delay when listening through the headphones so not sure what that is but pretty good product.

I use the microphone for narrations on my video projects. It is easy to use. I need more control over the bass and treble.

I use the U37 for the live broadcast of the Sunday Services of the church that I attend. I was able to just plug and go. I use a macbook pro and it works seamlessly with the streaming service that we use. It has been one of the best purchases that I have made. You can't beat the price either.

I purchase 3 of these microphones and attempted to get them to work on 3 different computers, one being a Mac. All the computer's failed to work with this microphone, one even loaded the microphone as an external speaker. This microphone is not for the computer novice as it takes more than my knowledge of computers to get this microphone to work as it is not plug and play friendly. I did expect a lot from this microphone for the price I paid for it, but it failed to deliver.

It does do vocals and voice very well, but I could not get the fuzz out of the background of the instruments therefore it made all of the instruments I tried to record distorted. But, for the price... not bad.

The CAD U37 worked just fine right out of the box. Hooked it up, fired up Zoom, played with the settings (there aren't many) and it worked perfectly. It is better than expected at isolating out background noise - on one call there was a pressure washer running outside and I ould certainly hear it, but no one on the Zoom call knoew it was there. Very happy with the performance.

This mic performed right out of the box! Simple setup, good sound quality for the price, and stylish design. All it needs is a windscreen or pop filter to be a complete setup for recording vocals or narration.

Haven't used it much / Just checked to see if it works. Seems O.K. to record speaking. Picks up well from a distance.

This mic caused static for Zoom meeting participants! Not just a little but very annoying. Had to switch it out. I purchased to use with Zoom. Returning!
