A replacement for my old QC35II headphones, these are very similar in form and function, but there are a few subtle differences worth noting. Overall comfort and build quality seems the same, which is very good. The Bose logo is now just printed on rather than raised metal, which feels cheaper. Pairing was trouble free and is stable and reliable. Sound quality is good to my ears. However although the active noise cancellation seems even better than the older model, blocking out a lot, the way it works has been changed for the worse. Instead of high-low-off, you can only select "quiet" and "aware". There is no way to listen via Bluetooth without noise cancellation; aware pipes in some ambient noise but it sounds artificial, and wind noise leads to unbearable feedback. In quiet mode they can deal with light breezes pretty well but not as well as the old model on low, so for me they are inferior in that regard. So I would say these are suitable mainly for indoor use and not better than the 35s in every way. ... More

I was looking for headphones to use with my hi-go Arcam amplifier. However I found when it was delivered it was designed to go with my iPhone! Not to worry. I lag behind the changes in technology. From vinyl to tape, from tape to CD, from CD to streaming. I own a library of all formats that clutter up my home, yet I can get practically anything I need on line now. My son asked me why I still used CD as if I was a dinosaur. Back to the Bose headphones. The reception I get is amazing. Although I have little hearing in the left ear, with headphones I get the illusion that I am listening in stereo. Sometimes it appears that my left ear is ok as the sound source comes from the left. I can’t explain this. The Bose headphones are comfortable and allow you to switch between music and phone calls should they occur. It takes getting used to, but I have no regrets that I acquired t this smart headset. You can switch between slowing background sounds in or noise cancellation which is effective. It worries me to know that people can wander around in the street with noise cancellation for their own safety. Not being aware of what’s happening around you isn’t good for wellbeing in my view. Anyway these headphones allow you to choose and are highly recommendable. ... More

I may be a little bit unusual in having both these and the Sony XM4s, but to me these feel a bit lacking in terms of sound quality - nothing feels quite as 'alive' and punchy as it does with the XM4s. On the other hand, the sound isn't bad, and the noise cancelling is excellent. Crucially, I've found the Sony XM4s quite uncomfortable to use for long periods, as the ear cups aren't quite deep enough for my ears and the clamping pressure is just too high for me. The Bose are much more comfortable, and thus I've been wearing them more recently than the Sony cans for general listening around the house. Apart from the sound, the build quality feels solid. I prefer the button-based controls over the XM4's touch-basee system, which can be a bit tricky to get to work. The Bose app however is quite basic, and there's no option for custom EQs. In summary, I would recommend these if you're after a pair of headphones you can wear all day in an office, with great noise cancelling. Buy the Sony model if you want the best sound quality. ... I bought these headphones for my uncle who is in a nursing home. It is a loud environment and he has a lot of downtime. He was able to pair them via Bluetooth with his iPad and Android phone. After using them for a month he has reported back that they are so comfortable he almost forgets he's wearing them. He even takes phone calls with them. The aware mode is handy to hear conversations around him while still using them. I've listened to them and the sound quality is excellent. They can get nice and loud without distortion, and they don't leak a lot of sound so other people in the room won't be bothered if you're listening to loud music (although I can't comment on whether they'll like your singing). They can be used with or without the noise-cancelling feature (but they must be connected with the included cable to be used passively). These set the standard for noise-cancelling headphones and are priced reasonably for their quality. Highly recommended. ... More

I bought these at a reduced price after Black Friday and are by far the best headphones I have ever owned. The build and sound quality is amazing - both bass and treble so clear. The noise cancelling function is unbelievable. The flick of a switch blocks out the outside world entirely - I was actually gobsmacked how effective this function was

Amazing noise reduction, the only way I can tell my wife is moaning at me or the kids are screaming blue murder is by seeing their lips move. Very comfy too and the battery lasts ages, like all week pretty much.

I bought these for the gym but I can't honestly believe how great they are, I've fallen asleep in them loads of times! I can even hear background noise on audio books, the quality is immense!! The biggest selling point for me is the absolutely astounding noise cancellation and from the reviews I have read, the best. Ifyou've not used noise cancelling before as I hadn't it's really spot on at eliminating all background noise at the flick of a switch where the headphones voice prompt with 'aware' or 'quiet' you can also use them for calls, and I have found the Bluetooth connection quickest out of all the headphones I've had to date. Highly recommended 5/5 ... More

The noise cancelling itself works pretty well, but the sound quality is nothing special; lack of detail and presence. When they're not over my ears, resting on my shoulders (as they often need to be, as in, for example, when in a store making a purchase), they sit quite awkwardly. I've had similar noise canceling headphones from a different brand that rested perfectly this way for easy on and off. The buttons are awkward and difficult for the fingers to find when the headset is on the ears. And they feel cheap; the whole headset feels cheap, plastic-y. On the plus side, they are quit light and compact when folded. I think they're best for blocking out noise on airplanes or urban commutes--and fine for that--but not so much for high definition listening. ... More

Bought about a month ago. Keep my ears warm at this time year. They have a certain sound profile which is criticised in some reviews, however, for my hearing issues, and type of music and speech listened to I find them very good across rock, folk etc. I was curious about any impact on tinnitus, and they seem to reduce issues. They give option to be aware of surrounding sounds. They switch easily and automatically between my iPad, phone and laptop.

Big fan of Bose. Have owned a few Bose headsets. Wasn't really into the over the ear (bulky) headphones until I start to get into recording. The wired and wireless features are great (during recording, it is wired) and when I am not recording, this works like other wireless headsets. My colleagues can hear me well without noises during Zoom calls. The ANC works. There is a feature (Aware) to turn is off if I want to bring in more ambiance sound. Light package, set up is effortless. Stylish set up. Comfortable to wear. Switching from wired to wireless is super easy. All the buttons are in the right spot. Continue to be a big fan of Bose. ... Don’t waste your money on Goji, JBL or Skullcandy, first pair of Bose headphones I’ve ever purchased and they’re sound quality and the ability to control the bass boost etc in an app is helpful too, literally the best sound cancelling I’ve used and I’ve own about 4/5 pairs of Over-ear headphones over the past several years and they keep breaking but with the case I feel safer and I purchased insurance to be on the safe side, definitely recommend these.

Not as much bass as I thought they'd have. Also, thought the app would allow for treble/bass adjustments but that's not the case (my fault for having that expectation). The app barely does anything for you. They make it sound like you can adjust soooo much, but it's very, very basic. Helps you connect to devices and name the headphones... cool. Super easy to connect to things. Love the audible feedback so you know what it's connected to as well as the battery level upon turning them on.

I have this product myself and brought it as a gift for someone who is really loving them! The noise cancellation is highly effective and the sound quality clear. The headphones have a comfortable design, adjustable headband and cushioned cups, providing a snug and enjoyable fit. They are quite sturdy and made from durable materials. A stable and strong wireless connection. However, the packaging was damaged which was not what I was expecting when you pay a premium price for a product like this. Thus it gets 4/5 stars.

The sound on them is good and they don’t actually make your ears too warm whilst wearing them, however I wouldn’t say the fit is great. I have a big head as it is, and on the smallest part, it’s still slightly too big and would move off your head with vigorous movement I.e in the gym. However, sound is great, on the mode where it’s quiet, you can’t hear any outside noise.

My first thought was that these QC45s felt slightly flimsy, but in practise they seem sturdy and fold down easily. The ANC won't block out every sound, but does make a big difference. And connectivity and battery life are excellent. I usually find headphones too bass heavy, but if anything these are too bright. However, you can easily tone them down with your phone's equaliser. The Bose Connect app is underwhelming, but you can easily use these cans without it.

Unfortunately I had to return them as the noise cancelling side did not work It made no difference to the surrounding volume weather the headphone where in quilt or aware modes, I could still hear everything around me at the same constant volume. Couldn’t rate any higher than one star as the noise cancellation for me was the most important feature on the headphones when I bought them

I've been a QC Series owner back from the QC15s all the way to the QC35s. I've loved their comfort and above all their somewhat neutral sound signature. You could listen to them for hours with zero ear fatigue. Sadly, these new ones are incredibly sharp, sibilant and hurtful between 5K-7K Hz. I can't seem to use them for long. If Bose had given us an EQ in the app, at least this would have helped resolve the issue.

I bought these with lot of expectation of getting rid of my AirPods but the wireless headphones when connected via blue tooth no good to take phone calls. Serious issue but Bose thinks they work fine. Just to listen music great no complaints. Usually, Bass little low in Bose that's known, if you need more bass these are not for you. If you are planning to use them to take phone calls, then please do your research.
