First off, having one is pretty amazing for most practical use, but have you heard these in "Stereo Mode" through the Party Mode function? OMG. Best surround sound for it's price! Summary: - It's awesome because it charges via Micro USB - It doesn't have an AUX plug-in, so be aware of that. - The strap on the back is elastic with a hook that latches back onto itself. Useful for attaching to thin poles that are about 1-inch thick in diameter. - Battery life is rated for 6 hours, assuming on higher volumes, I think - because these speakers have lasted for easily more than 6 hours on medium volume playback. - The quality is obviously isn't as rich as any of the OG Soundlink speakers or the Soundlink Revolve speakers, but definitely comparable to the Soundlink Color models. Having a pair of these speakers in "Stereo Mode" and properly place in the room will sound better than one of any of the above speakers, in my honest opinion and you can have 2 speakers for the price of one. Easiest way to put the two speakers into "Party Mode": - Connect both speakers, one at a time. - On the speaker you connect last, press & hold the "Bluetooth" & "Volume +" buttons at the same time until the dialogue. - On the other speaker, press & hold the "Bluetooth" & "Volume -" buttons at the same time until you hear a beep/tone. - Wait until up to 10 seconds (be patient) and it will announce "Party Mode", which will playback on both speakers in unison. In the app, you can turn on Stereo Mode to convert the speakers to "Left" & "Right" to separate the sounds. It makes your music sound AMAZING. As a photographer and a music lover (I have music on for about 90% of my day, not even kidding), having this speaker always on me has always been a great thing. It's tiny, compact, easy to keep charged, and I have a pair to put in Stereo Mode to give me a great sound experience every time I'm at a shoot, at a small gathering, or in my room editing. I used to have the very first SoundLink speaker which lasted me all the way until recently and was looking to get something to replace it, but these came out and I was actually very impressed by the sound quality and distribution in Stereo Mode. It seemed much more practical to have for my needs. One of these already sounds amazing for its size. The bass gives that Bose thump. On medium volume, which is good enough to fill a large room with good sound without being too loud, I've had it on for a whole 8-hour shoot. Sometimes, I like to listen to music in the shower and will bring one in. Waterproof indeed. All the splashes do not harm this speaker. The only think I can picture better than these in Stereo Mode are the Revolve speakers in Stereo Mode. Those are definitely my next purchases. Until then, these are definitely the best low-budget BOSE speakers I could ask for. ... More

Im very pleased with the sound quality. It has a nice, rich sound for such a small and relatively inexpensive speaker. Ease of installation was quick and easy. I had absolutely no issues connecting it via Bluetooth to my iPhone. Battery life is excellent. Ive used it for four to five hours at a time with only 10% drop in battery life. I have only issues. First, it comes with a plastic strap the supplier states is sufficient to attach to a bike, pole or other such skinny tube. The strap doesnt have a fail-safe latch. If it fails you could ruin your device. Im not sure how good the strap is and I dont plan to use it. Second, the device doesnt have have and audio adjustments. You cant adjust tremble, bass, etc. A careful reading of the features list doesnt mention the the ability to adjust bass, treble, etc. So its my bad, but just be aware you are not getting this option. ... Bose never disappoints me regarding sound quality, the bass is really great for its size. I think the price is very high, I bought it because It was on sale (30 dollars cheaper). The materials are great and seem to be durable. I have experience some problems with the volume bottoms, for some reason they are not responding, probably because I have two devices connected and the speaker gets confused. At first when I connected it to the power It was not charging the battery or maybe it was but the speaker did not recognize because after 12 hours connected it never reach the 100%. After I update the firmware it works great. I am happy with this device, the battery life is enough for my needs, I took it to some of my hiking trips and bicycle rides, also I use it with my Amazon echo dot and it works perfectly. This is a portable speaker, in case you need a home speaker do not buy it you have cheaper and better options. ... More

One of these by itself is good, it sounds better than most speakers of this size to me (at least of what I've heard). Battery seems to last a decent amount of time, although I need to plug them in after a listening session because these small speakers to drain pretty quickly compared to larger models. HOWEVER.. 2 of these together in stereo mode are MAGIC. Being surrounded by 2 of them is completely immersive and very loud feeling (without needing to completely saturate the whole area with music like the 360 degree speakers do). perfect for a small group of friends hanging by the pool or sitting around a camp fire. I also have been putting them on either side of me on the couch and just enjoying the very extreme stereo effect you get when listening to well mixed music. ... More

These little speakers pack a punch. Easy connection set up with the Bose App downloaded to your phone. The speakers have a long rechargeable battery life via USB charging. Plus, there is a little battery level indicator on the front of the unit and a voice prompt tells you the battery level every time you turn on / off the speaker. Voice prompts connection and other helpful features. They are rated to be IPX7 splash proof. I have used them several times in the shower room full of steam without any issues. Get two speakers and easily pair them for 'party mode' with or without stereo mode. No matter if used as a standalone speaker or paired together they sound great with rich, crisp, Bose sound. ... This little bluetooth speaker is Bose's typical excellent standard. Well designed and amazing sound quality for such a small size, I was impressed. Other reviews have complained that it wasn't very loud but the great thing about bluetooth is that you have the variable options of the volume controls on both the device and the speaker itself. When connected to my Sony MP3 player, the sound easily fills a large room. I guess on full whack it would be pretty loud. Great quality.

Working in the merchant navy, I need a good speaker for my work shop onboard ship, gym, when painting, when out in the boat. Having had a few cheap speakers in the past these haven’t lasted long when in the like of east Africa or Antarctica waters, already two weeks in to my trip in northern Norway I’ve loved every minute of using the nose soundlink micro, no downsides I’ve came across yet.

Considering the size, the sound that comes out of this speaker is phenomenal. For such a small package, the sound spectrum, to my taste, is excellent. Good highs, mids, and lows...I'll be using this mainly for traveling since brining my bose revolve+ is quite heavy for the carry on luggage. I'll have a decent speaker for those hotel nights where music/movies are the way to go without wearing headsets. I haven't tried the waterproofing of this speaker, no intentions for that anyway. Best way to see if this speaker suits your needs is to hear one with music. I know was convinced when I heard my co-worker using this speaker and I was astounded by the size of the sound coming from such a small package. ... More

When you see the size of the package you quickly begin to believe you might have made a mistake. Once you connect it to a sound device you get an immediate relief knowing you instincts were right. Bose never fails me when it comes to sound. Going all the way back to the 901's we all saw how much Great Engineering brings to any product. This carries on with the Bose Goal to producing an incredible accurate original sound regardless of size. Very Clean, Plenty of power, simple to use and incredibly accurate sound!

I bought the Bose SoundLink Micro to replace a JBL Clip 3. The JBL sounded a bit muffled (like an old radio - songs you know will sound different than what you are used to), whereas the Bose has a great sound quality. The bass makes a huge difference, which is something that gets lost in the JBL. The only issue of the Bose is the strap, which comes off too easily. Considering I use this speaker when I bike, the strap is potentially an issue. No drops so far. Other than the strap, the speaker is perfect in terms of sound and size. ... More

Nice size speaker, just the right size for being portable. Nice sound quality and the volume goes quite high for a small speaker. I use it with my HTC phone. Quick connection, never had a problem with connecting to bluetooth on my phone with this. Doesnt have a stand attached though so it just lays flat which I dont like as the sound is directed upwards instead of outwards.

I have in orange. It's a cute speaker. Can wake from off mode via your phone. With the Bose app you can give your speaker it's own name or have a random name. You can also turn voice prompt off/on. Little lights on the back tell you level of charge. Water proof so great for shower room. Super battery life and not least great sound (not stereo but you can buy another and pair up for stereo). Perfect for traveller or as a portable around the house. Very happy. Five stars.

I was worried about the cost compared to cheaper alternatives. However, I have used other Bose products which have great sound. I am in no way disappointed with this. It’s solid and has a quality feel and great sound. I use it with an iPhone which it remembers and connects pretty much instantly. Get even better sound when you use the phone music ‘equalizer’ settings to match music type. I can’t really find fault. You get what you pay for. Brilliant.

Great little product. - The sound quality for music is brilliant up to around 70%ish, but near 100% the bass lacks a bit and doesn't sound as good. It's still a very good speaker for its size though. - I find the sound quality is best for voices - The battery lasts long enough that you don't have to worry about it. - It's very handy that it is waterproof as you don't have to worry about damaging - The product feels really nice to hold - It connects to your paired device instantly

When I heard for the first time this small speaker playing the Beethoven 4th piano concerto, I was astonished by the clarity and depth of sound, comparing it - on the B&H desk - to other even bigger and costlier Bluetooth speakers. I already sprayed some water on since I use it also in the bathroom side to the shower booth. No issue encountered. My son tested it also playing rock music.. We are all very satisfied! Bluetooth connection is fast and easy.

I wanted to play my music I've stored on my 'tablet or laptop' and wasn't happy with what I was hearing from their initial output speakers. In conversation with my niece she suggested I bought 'bose' to which I did want the bigger version which was out of stock so took a chance on this product and I'm totally amazed!! Its great, the sound is excellent and I can also take this into the bathroom or kitchen when listening to my music.

Great small speaker - the sound quality is fantastic. Very easy to use. Once charged lasts quite a while and informs you how much charge is left when you switch it on. Nice & portable to take around with you. I purchased a case for it separately I think that is needed to protect the speaker. Would recommend this speaker.

quite nice sounding and doesnt fall apart trying to play pianno music i.e. like my jbl clip 2 did, my only criticism's are fairly expensive and the volume sometimes fluctuates just enough to notice but even that much is quite annoying, thoiugh i suspect this might be because i have it out in cold weather which can affect how much charge a battery outputs! so all in all very nice build good sound with good mounting options should you so require.
