I use the Blue Kiwi everyday in my recording studio for voice, 2nd kick mic, amp micing (with 20db pad to get it closer), acoustic guitar, and even room or overhead uses for drums. I have actually used this when recording vocals for NAS, Bizzy Bone, and Bow Wow, and it has become a staple to the success of our studio. The sound was professional and all the clients were pleased how the mic would pick up gentle nuances of the high end without being harsh at all. I am in the process of buying another and I will use them both for stereo overheads and many other applications. ... More

I am a Blue fan of sorts, I was partial to Blue's Mouse for commercial/TV voiceover until I got this one. A nice full big clear sound...I still love my Mouse for heavily processed radio voiceover, but the Kiwi is my mic of choice for high quality TV and production voiceover every time!

The Kiwi gives life to any recording! Vocals, acoustic instruments, pianos, and drums will take on a life of their own when touched by the kiwi's modern tone and sparkling top end!. Class A electronics ensure an output stage with virtually no coloration, and the precision B6 capsule borrowed from supercharged versatility!

I don't usually write reviews but this mic deserves it. We purchased the kiwi 13 years ago and it still sounds just as good today as it did when we purchased it. This is a professional mic and I've never heard anyone (professional engineers) complain about the quality of sound.

pretty impressive mic,i found it to be alot better than the blue blueberry,i sold the blueberry once i found this mic,You cant lose with this one,you can use it for i wanna say 9 different patterns, from directional to omni directional, one of those 9 settings will work for you lol, Since i bought this mic i only use 2 plugins where as i use to have to use about 4 or 5. Honestly i use to record on a $40 radioshack mic and through plugins i can pretty much make a mic sound like any mic thats out here but i prefer not to have to go through all the work it takes, its time consuming and also it hogs alot of cpu, make mixing easier for yourself and buy one of these lol ...
