I love Blue mics. I have a substantial amount of money invested in my home studio, so quality is important. I also have the Bluebird; because I can't afford something like a Neumann at this time. The 200 works very well in the studio, especially when layering vocal tracks with traditional condenser mics. I wanted to test them out, because the hybrid aspect was intriguing. They definitely carry the warmth and power of a dynamic, with the softer bottom and sensitivity of a condenser. They are great live mics, as well, and push much higher levels of gain before experiencing feedback than the SM58s I used to use. Overall, I am very pleased, and feel I would have to pay 3x-4x as much to get similar results from other mics. ... More

I gig 3 times a week in mostly outdoor settings. I fight traffic noise, the wind, and general crowd background noise. I needed some extra oomph on my vocals for quiet songs in a lower vocal range. I upgraded from the Blue enCORE 100. Being phantom powered, the 200 gave me a gain bump but without any feedback. It's warm and mellow, clear and precise. I should've upgraded long ago, but my manager (i.e. my wife) keeps a sharp eye on all my gear purchases! When I started playing out 6 years ago, of course I used you know who... *cough SM58 cough* Once I tried Blue, I've never looked back. You cannot go wrong with Blue Mics; they've got my business for life. ... More

Had high expectations and they were pleasantly and surprisingly met! Really loved the warmth of the microphone which encouraged me to sing more and more. The mic looks really good too!

Only tested initially not extensively , but it’s smooth warm and clear. Extremely well built, feels great. I think this would be a great stage mic especially for singers. Would do well in a studio too

One of the best stage mics ever made, and functions as a GREAT studio mic to boot. The sound quality is what gets me, it sounds like the actual voice does. No more thin or muddy vocals, just pure sound.

Great sound quality, Very quiet, Lets me turn up the mixer with no noise. A bargain for what I paid for this. No complaints.

Had this mic for only two weeks and so far I love it. Seems effortless to sing. The only reason for four stars was because they don't tell you phantom power is needed. So I did not get to use it out of the box- disappointing. And had to purchase the additional unit.
