Ideal for meeting rooms

These are very sturdy, and ideal for meeting rooms with a risk of damage or theft. I was looking for good sensitivity (-52 dBv and 2.5 mV/PA) for use with people having zero consciousness. The On/Off switch on the mic is a definite advantage. The include mic stand adapter seems awfully tight, but I did get the mics into them. The plastic might fracture if this is done outside in very cold weather. The adapter threads are plastic, and can be stripped if over tightened. Over a typical meeting room PA system, these mics are more woofy or bassy than a higher-end mic. I drop the bass EQ and boost the treble EQ in a 3-way simple preamp rack. We use these on campus for youth ministry events, where use and care are more akin to abuse and carelessness. I purchased them thinking they'd be disposable. The price point certainly makes them replaceable. But much to my surprise, they have lasted the camp season, taken the bumps and scrapes without leaving the body and grille looking trashed. And they still sound decent enough for campers and counselors to enjoy . I don't care to use these in the chapel, or for corporate retreats, as I have better options. I bought this set of mics for my studio so i dont need to risk damaging my pricey condenser mics when having a rock band jam in my studio messing about/rehearsing. The first mic stopped working within 3 months, the xlr connector would just slide out. To my dissappointment the second mics cover came off a few months later. The third one has lastet about 2 years now and i still continue using it in the studio during band rehearsals/jams as the sound is not that bad for the price. A good condenser mic will cost you three times more so this is a good product for the garage band or related uses. I would however not reccomend it for live performances as i fear there is a chance it may just fail in the middle of a song. ... More

Wow! Great mic. I bought this mic mainly as an instrument mic to mic my acoustic guitar for live performances. It sounds really good on my Yamaha acoustic. I like the fact that it's supercardiod. I can crank it up without getting a lot of vocal bleed. It sounds really good on vocals too, however, I think the XM8500 is a little better for vocals. It's warmer with a little better low end. So with the 8500 on vocals and 1800s on guitar, I'm all set for live performances. I couldn't ask for more. Of course, Behringer rarely disappoints.

We grabbed these to use as general use mics where sound quality wouldn't be scrutinized and the possibility of undue wear and tear was high. Compared to other single mics in this price range these easily come out on top. The built-in value of the hard case is great, too, especially when transporting them from venue to venue. The only downside we found to these is that two of them had some difficulty fully seating the XLR connection. They eventually clicked into place but had to have a good amount of force applied in order to do so.

Three microphones with stand clips and a case for $??? How can you go wrong? Especially when the microphones actually work, sound great, and provide little or no feedback. I used these in a garage band setting, with drums, bass, guitar, and 3 singers. We had no issues with feedback in a tight place, with poor acoustics. Everyone thought the mics sounded great. No complaints at all!Shipping was fast (2 days).

We use these microphones every week for our youth services, the build and sound quality are great! You can't beat the value! I would recommend these to anyone who is looking for quality live sound at an affordable price. I would defiantly buy this product again, without hesitating this time. I thought these would be cheap feeling and cheap sounding mics, but the reviews were great, and I'm glad they were.

I really bought this item for the 3-mic case and extra mic holders - couldn't believe how durable and well sounding these XM1800 mics were when I tested them! While I agree the XM1800 isn't quite as stable at high volumes as the XM8500 (which I now use over the Shure SM58), it makes a great practice and back-up mic. Fantastic deal!

I was initially suspecting how the quality will be given the price. After my first use, found out that had excellent output for both vocal and instrument. I would strongly recommend this as an addition to any audio system that does not require theatrical performance and used for religious meetings / church etc.,

Was almost talked out of buying this 3 piece set, but I have a Behringer amp and pleased with it. So I gave them a chance. I am very happy with the mics. And all my family and friends can't believe how well they sound. I have 2 Shure mics(48 and 58) and all compare nicely.

It is amazing how good these mics sound and perform . 8 years of bad treatment and they still work good . After all the repeated drops they do have slight handling noise but that is the only problem.

Bought this set for my karaoke show. While they aren't super-professional, you wouldn't expect them to be at the price they sell at. They have, so far, proven to be easy to mix and control, and the hard case makes it easy for me to get them home safely after the show. A definite buy for anyone handing their mic off to the less-than-sober sort of performer.

These might not be the best mics on the market, but I always make sure I have a few of these in stock. These things can take a beating and keep going. I've literally had the end of these look like a shark attacked it and the sound came through perfectly. Great product and won't break the budget at all.

I was recommended to purchase this set for meeting live amplification and it worked as planned. The on/off switch on the handle made it very easy to control noise overflow when the mics weren't in use and when they were being handled by several people in the same session. They got the job done and I hope to get more similar use out of them over item.
Great for a beginner podcast setup

I needed to pick up a couple of mics to start a podcast on a budget and these filled in nicely. They're a touch on the quiet side but the audio was easy to boost in post without any appreciable background noise, and they work well with my multitracker/recorder. I'm sure down the road that I'll want to go to a more robust solution but these will do just fine for me for now.
For the price, a great set of mics.

I use these microphones for my podcast, and they are more than adequate for the job. The sound quality is certainly good enough for recording talk, although I would hesitate to use them for recording music. But they are certainly worth the price if you're looking to start a podcast or have a few extra mics around in case extra guests show up for your show!

I bought these almost solely for the case and the convenience of having three standard mics for podcasting. Compared to other high end ones they certainly aren't the best--granted, I've been using Sennheisers and compared to those, these have a loose plasticy feel and their range isn't as wide, but for $ for three mics, they're perfect and work well for the show.

I am a big fan of Behringer. I bought these microphones to do some recording, and a little live sound. I needed several, and was able to get this package for less than I would have paid for one SM58. These microphones seem quite sturdy, and the sound is quite good. Not quite as good as the industry standard, sure, but impossible to beat for the price.
