The sound quality I am getting out of this is terrible. Right out of the box I get constant static and the microphone will completely cut out sometimes leaving huge dead spots in my audio. Maybe I got a lemon but I'm greatly disapointed and wish I could write a good review like the rest of these on this site.

This is the second of these mikes I bought from B&H since I wanted two matched mikes for cutting between host and guest and they work really well. Just remember NOT to neatly wind up and stuff the transmitter's mike wire (which is also the antenna) into a pocket since that will cause low signal and hissing. Otherwise the signal is very clean and the range we tested to be about 75', not bad for the price. We haven't tried the handheld yet but I expect it would also be good. B&H's shipping to Canada is really, amazingly, good. Items arrive in great shape, pre-cleared through customs by B&H, and usually in less time than advertised. Thank you B&H! ... More

I purchased the WMS Pro VHF after reviewing a couple similar products with similar price point. Low Cost. That was the criteria. A low cost audio wireless system for my HDSRL. I have used for the last two weeks doing interviews (the lavalier)and the sound is crisp and I haven't had interference from other equipment so far. A plus, it is very light to carry on my HDSRL and it can be monitored right from the receiver, if you haven't prepared your HDSRL with ML and a Sescom cable to monitor audio throughout the audio port. I have still to use the handheld mike, it which I have ready to use with a wind screen for other projects... ... More

I video weddings, etc. I had a friend who loan me his mic system to try. He had told me how much better it would be to use than the mic on my semi-pro camera. He was so right. As soon as I could I bought one for myself. It is not professional, but for the most part it will do for just about anyone. The sound is good for the cost. To really help with the sound the Cam-3 Channel Mixer should be bought. It gives you control over the level of the sound. Since it is inexpensive, you should take care because it isn't heavy duty. If you are like myself, I really baby any of my equipment so it should not be a problem with the system. ... More

I liked the smart and practical design and items included in this system. Although not exactly clear in the description, the hand held mic plugs into the wireless transmitter, which is ideal for a person moving around and interviewing others or taking questions from different audience members. Alternately, for a single speaker, the clip on mic works great, allowing movement or just keeping the hands free. The receiving unit clips conveniently to the camera flash shoe. The recording quality was very good and definitely way better than having no mic, especially when outdoors.

Sure, there are only 2 RF channels and it may lack the sound quality and variety of functions of the more professional wireless microphone systems, but it's a tiny fraction of a cost! Having used it on several shoots so far, from weddings to corporate interviews, I have to say that it works well-enough. At the very least, it will hold me over until I can afford a more professional and much more expensive wireless mic system. You just can't beat the value of this product, which comes with both a lapel and a handheld mic!

Attached this to my consumer camera, and viola. It does sound a little tinny upclose but that can be solved easy enough in post. The microphone is really not suitable for a flag as it is too short and plastic. The Lavalier seems to be of nice quality and will probably get the main use. The mike has good range and the two channels are a must for my usage. I haven't tested its durability yet; I suspect there may be issues but I knew this going in.

I read some of the reviews for this set and ordered it. The box was delivered in two days! I purchased this set for doing business video recordings and obviously did not want to spend the higher amount of other well known mics. To test it, I recorded a social event using the handheld mic included with the set. To my pleasant surprise, I was amazed at the clarity and sensitivity of the mic even though it was approximately 5 feet from the people. Another pleasant surprise is the cable included that connects the receiver to the camera - it converts mono to stereo. Therefore, there is no need to buy an adapter as required with the original model. I rating it 4 stars because I have not tested the Lavalier mic yet but based on my initial experience, I am confident that it would perform as great as the handheld mic. ... More

We were looking for an inexpensive lapel mic for our video production without losing the quality of the product. Being a budget tight company we search the web for all products we buy and always end up at B&H. To tell the truth I am not sure at this point why we even shop around. B&H always has top quality stuff at the best prices. What we love even more is they have a brick and mortar in NYC. ...

Purchased this to use with my camcorder to improve sound quality when taping a speech or presentation. I have not been disappointed. It is lightweight, very easy to use and provides clear sound -- a huge improvement over the built-in microphone on the camera. This is not a professional system, but an outstanding value for the money.

I am very happy with this wireless mic system, especially considering the price. It came exactly when B&H predicted it would and works perfectly. Before retiring from the wedding videography business, I used one like this as a back up to my UHF mic's and it served me well for many years. Now, I volunteer for a church with a limited video budget and it's very adequate for our needs. I never get interference and it's much better than a shotgun mic for interviews. It's a great entry level wireless mic system. Thanks again B&H.

I am a professional wedding videographer and have used this system with great results with no complaints for the past 3 years. Nice clean sound...long range...works through walls and floors. For the price you cannot go wrong. Expertise: Pro Wedding Videographer Problems Encountered: None...I wish the handheld did not have to be attached to the transmitter box...but other than that...beautiful! Items I Recommend: Keep a fresh supply of new 9-Volt batteries on hand to ensure top performance

I bought this mic for use with the Canon HF100 and it works really well. It's mono and so only records to one track, but this can be rectified in post with most editing software. The wireless transmitter can be used either with the lavelier or the hand held mic, but not both at the same time. This makes using the hand held a little cumbersome since there's the mic lead to deal with. All in all really good wireless solution for the price and the sound quality is good.

This system is awesome. I have a Canon HV-20 and my wife bought me this set so I could use it on my online vlogs that I make and post to the most popular video site on the net. This mic system has made the audio of my videos sound 1000% better, what more can you say. Worth the money and worth the time. Only problem I encountered was that the system is mono output and the camera has a stereo input jack which I rectifed with a $2.00 part! All you need is a Female to Male adapter and you are off and running! Would buy, would recommend and B&H was awesome as well. ... More

This lav mic set-up is the perfect example of you get what you pay for. If your speaker is dead still, directly in front of the camera with no interference, it works perfectly. No crackle or pops and the audio is clear and crisp. However, if your target moves at all, or if anyone gets in your direct line of site it falls completely apart. In addition it looks and feels amazingly cheap; no interview subject is going to be impressed when you wire them with this setup. So, does it work? Yes, but barely; if you can afford anything else, do so, otherwise this is good as a no-other-choice kit. ... More

Nothing complicated, threw a few 9 volt batteries, turned it on and the sound was great, used a 1/8 splitter and use the lav and hand held at the same time. Added a mono to stereo 1/8 adapter, and record in stereo. At this price you can't go wrong. I plan on picking up another soon.

I needed a wireless system for my camera bags but I didn't have tons of money to throw at the many systems out there. I looked over many reviews and felt that this system was worth a shot. I got it, plugged it in and have loved it ever since. It is mono but I use a mono to stereo adapter in the out cable, so no big deal. I has loud clear sound and a good range for the size. A down is the mics feel a little on the cheap but they sound fine and you can upgrade to better ones later if you want to another is not gain control so it all has to be done in the camera or post. Overall great beginning system for wireless sound. ... More

I was looking for a cheap wireless lavalier microphone to get rid of the awful audio quality of the camcorders: even with the best of them, you always look like talking in a copper jar. This product is perfect, maybe it doesn't have the performances of pro products but it costs 1/4 of professional microphones and the fact it's wireless is great. I use it with transmitter very close to receiver (3-4 m)so I can't rate the performances vs. distance but for the rest I am satisfied.

Unfortunately, it is not a stereo unit and the handheld microphone seems a little cheap\old. It almost seems like it was made in the 80's but just hit the shelves. Other than that it is great. The price was right and it functions well.

used the Azden WMS-PRO VHF Wireless Lavalier in a big hangar with tremendous echo. it cut out all the extra noise and picked up the voice like a champ! range was strong up to 40'. would love to be able to have it handle up to 2 or 3 wireless lavaliers to make interviews and other multiple voice recordings super smooth.
