This rugged, simple to use microphone works well with my DSLR camera. The audio quality for voice is acceptable. The mount dampens vibration well. Fine for amateur work.

The mic itself is great. The audio is great. The price is great. It was great. The bad part is, despite my research into the mic, I was unaware that the shoe wouldn't fit into the shoe port of my Vixia. It's shoe too big. It'd be nice if I had known that so I could have been prepared. But all in all the audio is nice.

i use the microphone for making amateur videos and it has definitely improved the audio in my movies. I would definitely recommend it for anyone who wants to to find a cheap microphone and yet also wants good quality.

I just bought a second mike for my Canon GL-2 camcorder. The first was for my XHA1. I love the professional sound produced by this mike. It is very affordable and I don't see much room for improvement by the more expensive mikes.

This mic is very easy to operate and provides good sound quality to enhance the use of a video camera. I use with a Canon VIXIA HFS-100 HD Camcorder, mostly for interview-type situations for corporate videos.

Very well made, very lightweight. Works very well with a Nikon Coolpix P1000 camera!

Used to shoot classroom full of students. It's great for the stereo effect, but the limited shotgun capability. Not the best of both worlds.

Camcorder microphones are always prone to picking up some motor noise in many situations and the sound quality leaves something to be desired. This external microphone elimates these issues. I couldn't be more pleased and the price was very affordable.

Ready to go right out of the box. I did not have to tape the sides to avoid noise behind me and I do not get any camera noise. The rubber mount is well built

tested the mic with videos shot with my Canon 60D vs the in camera mic and the sound was much fuller. Put it through my 100 watt Sony with surround and recorded music sounded much better compared to the in house mic.

Bought for my sony camcorder. Good directional pickup, nice shock mount for the cold shoe. Off switch turns off amplifier. Does not silence mic.

This microphone is great at it's price of $. if it was $100 it would be just a okay microphone.However... you need to make it a habit of remembering to check if your microphone is off.. with no light to indicate if its on or off.

Picked this up for external sound on a Canon T2i with Magic Lantern installed (to disable AGC). Works really well. This is my first microphone so I have nothing to compare against but I am happy with the purchase.

This isn't the most professional of mics. But it is good quality, certainly much better than you would get with the built-in mic.

This is a great little mic for traveling. Took it on a two week trip, it's light, sounds great, I haven't gone through a battery yet, but I reckon it'll last a really long time and who travels without an extra AAA anyway?

Great product, reasonably priced & great for people looking to do basic AV work. I am very pleased with the mic so far. Very happy with the B&H support as well. All in all great investment.

I'm very pleased with this microphone. It works quite well with my Sony camcorder. There is no adjustment for output--only an on-off switch and a high-low response switch.
