I bought when I got the Canon XH A1 and it's great. It targeted the range of the human voice very well, though music low playing in a room. An excellent mike for the money.

We are using this Shotgun Microphone on the Camcorder and also as a hand held mike as we interview troops and civilians in Iraq, Kuwait and Afghanistan. This Shotgun Mike is much better than what we had on our last camcorder. The sound is great and will be much better on our youtube and facebook pages and on the videos we upload onto other sites for people to watch and listen.

The mic was purchased so I could limit the sound I wanted in basketball games to the floor and the crowd in front of me. I didn't want to hear my voice cussing the ref's and my involuntary grunts as I watched my sons play their high school games.

Using this mic on the Canon XA-10. It fits very well with the small scale of the camcorder and produces excellent sound reproduction. It stays attached to the camera all the time. Oh - by the way the mounting to the camera was easy and very secure.

I am new to video, but the mic is suprisingly directional and delivers a great clear sound. I am using the on camera holder, but like having the extra that came in the box.

I use the mike mostly on the camera, but also to shoot interviews. The greatest thing about it is the price and how it can aim at the source of audio without capturing the sound from the surround. So far, I haven't had any problem, so I can't say anything about any bad thing.

I am a big Azden fan. Professional and inexpensive. I was happy with my boom shotgun mic from Azden but it was hard to handle when I used it on camera. It was too long for my HMC150. Bought the shorter shotgun mic from Azden and couldn't be happy with it's performance.

Frequency response is pretty good for getting nat sounds. I have it mounted on my HPX370. Phantom power. Fine for b-roll.

I ordered the SGM-P II Shotgun Microphone to go on my Canon XF105 camera. It came as advertised and works perfectly along with the additional purchases of a 1.5' XLR mic chord and fur windsock. I've used it in shooting several outdoor fishing shows and it works wonderfully.

This microphone is a very nice addition to my canon xa10. My camcorder's internal microphone has an irritating background noise that will not go away so this microphone definitely helped out a lot! It is not the best in windy environments which I expected but it sounds great besides that!

I have only used this mic once so far, but it did the job I was looking for. Shot a wedding in a windy setting and was looking for better sound than the on-camera mic I had. This one came through.

I bought this mic for my cannon XA-10 professional camera at the recommendations of past purchasers for this type camera. Good sound pick up.It enhances sound from live sound when using XLR inputs from recording mixer. Very easy to use and install. A great addition to improve sound quality. Will purchase another with next new camera.
